This is a VERY interesting story. Normally judges do not challenege cops' testimony if they say they smelled pot and that this gave them the right to enter premises or search a vehicle. It is even rarer for a judge to dismiss an admission of guilt even if the original evidence that brought about the admission was tainted. It is clear the judge was sending a message to the cops. http://www.abc.net.a...ks-free/4423220 Confessed drug trafficker walks free By Khama Reid Updated Wed Dec 12, 2012 9:20am AEDT Photo: Judge ruled police search illegal (ABC News: Iskhandar Razak) Map: Coober Pedy 5723 A man who admitted to drug trafficking charges has had a case against him dropped. A judge has ruled a police search was illegal. In his own evidence, Michael Anthony Daniele, 27, from Ingle Farm in Adelaide admitted to packaging and transporting cannabis in a hire car, on the Stuart Highway near outback Coober Pedy last year. At a District Court hearing at Port Augusta, Judge Michael Boylan said he was not convinced by Coober Pedy police statements that officers smelt cannabis in the car, as the drugs were in sealed packaging. He said that gave them no reasonable suspicion to search the car, making the search illegal. The evidence from the search was excluded and the case dropped.

cut em off now! wasted energy going into the stock and not the scion! They will grow on their own feet, and the scion will appreciate the extra energy input!

Woodchips can tie up the bacteria that releases nitrogen in the soil but it's mainly at the contact zone where the chips are touching the soil. For young plants it certainly can be a problem but for older plants with their roots established it's not really a problem. If you dig them in they can cause real problems though.

Make sure if your using any kind if carbon based mulch like Woodchips that you add some manure or npk so that when its breaking down it doesn't draw the nitrogen out of the ground

Seen these come about a few times , so I googled and found out its also a revered house/indoor plant. The braided specimens are very attractive. These caught my interest

WelI, I spent the week end on the end of a grinder removing the chicken house and run to of course create more cacti garden. This is stage two, I think three more cacti beds to come!! Planted our Peru- (HB01), Cuzco, Knuthianus, Spach, Pach, J1 open, LC002, SS02 x Bridge, TBM, Sausage and a couple of mongrels. The old wood stove was in the chicken house so decided to use it as a platform for my seedlings which will become stage 3-5 when they are big enough to go into the ground.

"Forest" mulch usually. Nice natural look and good distribution of chunk sizes - some break down fast and others more slowly. And it's cheap. I'll get maybe a 5m2 load once a year to top up the beds. Then run whatever prunings I have through my electric mulcher during the rest of the year. Remeber to add some high nitrogen material before you lay it to combat nitrogen drawdown.

WOW that is a pretty good response from the police of somewhere that lock you up for weed possession...i mean i understand the mushroom situation is different there but it still seems inconsistent. ps. notice how the news websites never have a comments section open on contentious drug related stories? hmm

i think you guys are taking this legislation too literal. it's never going to be enforced blanket like by the letter. it just depends how they feel at the time whether or not you're doing anything illegal. so basically everything you do is simultaneously legal and illegal, depending on who you're talking to and what sort of mood they're in. it's the vibe of the thing, ya dig?

Please be honest here guys.....how many of you are hoping in some way for a meltdown to prove a point? I'm not a lover of nuclear power, we have way cheaper and safer alternatives so please don't attack....but, how many people have died because of nuclear power? How many people have died because they have no power at all? Thinking as a layman who hears daily of the need to reduce our carbon output I wonder why all the fear? I am also told that nuclear exceeds all the objectives of a carbon free world...Who do I believe? They had a massive earthquake and tsunami that exceeded all expectation....Mother nature does throw shit at us at times...More people have died because a wave of water meters high smashed into seaside Japanese villages....I think considering that they have done well...the proof will be when they finally have this under control and the final outcome is known...should you not wait till then to cast your judgment? How much clean power has this technology provided? What do you want to produce your base load power...What can produce the base load power we require at this stage other than coal or nuclear? Is it okay for us to run out of power in those times when we really need it? solutions that meet all our objectives other than idealistic dreams thanks...

A few years ago I heard a radio show on JJJ, a weekly programme that dealt with a different drug each week, with an 'expert' offering his 'informed' opinion. Listeners were encouraged to phone in with their experiences. The information given on the DMT show was poor... 'expert' my arse. However, a few people called in, lastly a young man with a sad story to tell... Before leaving a rave with his mate in the early morning, they purchased some dmt....not having tried it before. After having ingested numerous party favours during the course of the night, they were already pretty high, and decided to keep going at home by mixing up the novel drug and shooting half each! At this point the guys voice trembled as he recounted his mates 'primal groaning' and his own terrifying dissolution into a most unexpected and unpleasant ego-shattering experience. That voice has haunted me, and I've wondered over the years about his story, and about IV use of psychedelics. I know in clinical trials of , say, DMT, IV or IM (intramuscular)administration is the norm so that dosage is accurate. Of course, the dmt here will be pure...what about illicit dmt? I'm sure the product available on the black market varies in quality, but given an 'average' sample, what are the potential risks of IV administration (relating specifically to purity/contamination with solvents etc of sample)? No, I'm not sitting here with a pack of fits and a spoon doing a risk/benefit analysis...I'm just curious. Are there really people out there wacking up dmt? And, hypothetically, if the sample were pure, wouldn't prudent IV/IM admin of dmt be safer (or at least healthier) than smoking?

all the old Caapi threads disappeared with the previous crash.. these are my notes and i'd love someone to correct them there is no link to Caapi data on the species page, tho one does exist here Caapi Original leaves may drop off, new hardier leaves will grow Always keep soil moist Small – moderate amount of water every 2-3 days Mist lightly when there is dry atmosphere / winds Moderate light or filtered light, but protected area Half strength liquid seaweed fertiliser Minimum temperature for growth: 20 C Optimum temperature: 17 – 30 C Min – Max: 4 – 40 C Protect from frost Taking cuttings: (info from Torsten) only in summer. take a 2 node cutting (cuttings with at least two nodes will be woody enough..shorter is too young and green, and will only end up rotting) rub the bottom node off with the thumb. cut the leaves off the top node, but do not injure the axil bud. if the axil bud has already produced leaves, trim these back to virtually no surface area. (reducing transpiration) root well in coarse sharp sand for 3-8 weeks, then transplant - no hormone needed, but process will be accelerated by using IBA Clonex gel soft wood strength [This message has been edited by coin (edited 28 February 2002).]
