  1. Awesome plants mutant!! Keep posting more photos, I love ya garden. How old are your Ariocarpi? What kind do you have? They are cool little cacti!
  2. Roundup & other poisons work very well, the obvious problem is over spray, this is easily avoided by applying with a fine paint brush, this is quite tedious but works well for inside greenhouse etc..
  3. Very generous, already thinking about sharing it around . Just wanted to ask, is that the best way to plant mid cuts (logs)? I have a few & was wondering whether to lay them down or plant them upright.
  4. At the right time of the year I have found plenty of these growing individually & in massive clumps up on the mountains behind the Goldy but I have never thought taking spore prints. When they fruit again, I would be more than happy to give it a go.
  5. I can't make it this weekend. Hope you all have a good time & make sure to organize another meet up soon!
  6. Channel 7 news a few weeks ago!!

  10. Thank you very much Shamanistic, Your seeds arrived yesterday, I went to leave you some feed back in your traders rep but couldn't find it, do you have one? Please let us know, so I can tell everyone about your generosity, fast delivery, good packaging, etc... Cheers mate. jox
  11. This looks like the place to ask , I have just received some Gymno denudatum seeds & was wondering if there any secrets with gymno germ? Cheers jox
  12. I saw the other day that Southport high on the Goldy reckon there want to start doing randomly drug testing on there students! I don't know if they will be able to do this with out reporting every positive result to the cops?
  13. Sorry ck I'm not after Trichos, I would like to trade for more rare miniature spp of cacti. Or plants, seeds or cuttings to expand my ethno (non-cacti) garden. @ dood, thanks man, I thought they would be gone when I got up this morning. Do you grow any rare minis? If so what do you grow? One more question, if I end up with a few spare seeds would you like to give them a go? Take it easy mate.
  14. That sounds very interesting EG. I wonder how Leuchtenbergia X Astropytum caput medusae would turn out? That would have to be cool.
  15. Hi, I have a few (5 in a pkt) rare seeds available for trade at the moment & more to come I would like these seeds to go to members that have had experience with growing some of the more difficult species, as some of these are very rare. It would be great to trade these for other rare cacti seeds, preferable miniature species, but if you have nothing to trade still let me know & we can work something out Cacti; 1 x Ariocarpus lloydii IG07 1 x Ariocarpus fissuratus X lloydii 1 x Ariocarpus fissuratus var fissuratus MV007 (rare european cultivar) 1 x Ariocarpus fissuratus var gracilis (Terlingua, Mexico) 1 x Ariocarpus bravoanus (very rare) 1 x Ariocarpus bravoanus var hintonii (very rare) 1 x Lobivia famatimensis 1 x Tephocactus articulans 1 x Leuchtenbergia principis Other seeds; 1 x Petopentia natalensis "Fockea natalensis" 1 x Etlingera elatior (Torch ginger) Cheers jox

    For Sale

That just make me think of Lethal Weapon, the one with Chris Rock. "Its laughing gas". Can you buy nitrous oxide?
  17. Man keep your pedro, its just a cool looking cacti , You can find little one's every now & then at Bunnings & Masters stores in QLD. I think lophs are the only ones not allowed in QLD.
  18. If you do find a list it will probably be change by the end of the year! Good luck keeping up with our ever changing laws!
  19. I have seen oothica's (mantis eggs) for sale on overseas sites but you wouldn't be able to bring them over. Maybe check the site Stiilman suggested.. I was breeding mantis for a while & getting oothica's from them (Its awesome to watch there antics when it comes to breeding, poor little fella, gets his head eating while procreating!!) Now when I'm out doing gardening I often find oothica's (autumn & winter) & collect them & place them in my green house, they hatch out in spring (50/100 baby's).
  20. Hi soulsvr, welcome. What kind of cacti do over there in Texas?.
  21. @ DarkSpark, I have used mantis for pest control for years now & have kept them as pets for my kids. I have never come across a more ravenous predator! If you keep them as pets you can over feed them, they will keep eating until they explode!
