Amazonian Posted July 23, 2011 Lets not be restricted to trees.. Add my ashes to a cup of wood chips and mycelium. Spread me at the base of you trees. There i shall weave a network of mycelium. And who knows, maybe enlighten a few souls along the way
7baz Posted July 23, 2011 i wouldn't mind coming back as a weed .. one that makes people happy...lol
tripsis Posted July 23, 2011 (edited) Strangler fig, all the way. Let the destructive force of those roots be unleashed! Edit: Wait on, this is a farce. That urn is obviously for ashes, not a corpse, meaning the body has been cremated. That is far less preferable from a environmental point of view. Rabaelthazar Posted July 23, 2011 I'd definitely go a large hardwood. I can't imagine any life more satisfying than beginning as a seed, finding some water and sunshine, rising up over decades to be the tallest strongest piece of wood in the forest. I'd just have to keep my branches crossed that no loggers would like the look of me.
WoodDragon Posted July 24, 2011 On the native side, any of the Nothofagus. But widening the scope, Quercus robur would be my first choice. Amazing trees for so many reasons..

dosileflynn Posted July 26, 2011 interesting topic. if i had to choose a particular tree, i would say a gum tree (i don't know the speficic name), because kaola's hang out all day in gum trees. Or i would say i giant Fig tree, at my primary school when i was growing up, in the school yard there was this gigantic fig tree that we all used to climb all over, and play all sorts of games throwing the figs around at eachother.
