Alice Posted August 17, 2011 this is not my work - so maybe i shouldn't post - but i just have too ! it is so amazing ! ( sorry guys ) http://www.stumbleupon.com/su/1G8Xpi/www.behance.net/gallery/Solitude-20102011-A-work-in-progress/954142 That is quite possibly the most amazing drawing I have ever seen. And great work everyone who posted sketches, I haven't seen any I don't think are awesome.
Seldom Posted August 17, 2011 this is a new one, using a technique i remembered from primary school - filling in the page with bright pastel colours then covering with black pastel and scraping through the dark pastel with a pen. i like to call it anti-drawing bump

Alice Posted August 17, 2011 I just purchased one of the signed limited prints ( of 100 ). I couldn't help myself ! now i just need a big izwoz banner to make my loungeroom complete Awesome! I've been thinking about buying one too, it's actually pretty damn good value when you consider the time that went into it. And considering there will only be 100 copies made, it's sure to be something visitors to your house wouldn't have seen before.
Amazonian Posted August 17, 2011 ^ Yeah, i looked at this guys work and like you said Alice, its gotta be the best(amazing) drawing i have ever seen. I think the wording was 100 'signed' copies?, which tells me there may be more , but just not signed? Maybe i read it wrong. I would love to own a copy though hey. bogfrog Posted April 3, 2014 (edited) To me, drawing sometimes feels like scratching an itch, not always embedded with deeper meaning or expressive agenda but rather, a satisfying, feel good thing to do. Edited April 16, 2014 by Ceres
FancyPants Posted August 19, 2014 Gotta take a heap more photos of the last two years' worth of doodles, but this one is one of my favourites, I'm going to replace the white background with a digital space photo of the Andromeda Galaxy. If anyone's good with doing shit like that I'd love a hand, I lose patience with photoshop...
paradox Posted August 19, 2014 awesome! i'd love to see heaps more of your stuff! same goes to you ceres ;) keep it all coming! I'm a bit bummed cause most of the drawings i uploaded aren't here anymore.. i don't know what happened, must have been deleted during a forum update or something. Unfortunately i have since given away most of those drawings & can't find my old photos of them :-( I can't wait to see more awesome stuff from you girls & everyone though! I might even do some more drawing my self soon & put something up too..

FancyPants Posted August 19, 2014 Wiickiiid Ballzac! :D I was definitely thinking on the shroomship taking humanity back to the source of Universal Origin. Hence the dna, spores, sex, taking root, exploration upward, sparks of knowledge, layered patterns of historical understanding, duality, then unity with love. And Andromeda I'm personally drawn to. Funny story that; one night while appreciating the wonder and beauty of the night sky I flippantly asked my partner which part of the sky he associates with me and he said without doubt Andromeda. When we went to bed I checked the app on my phone called Night Sky to see where Andromeda's located. I kept moving it around and it pointed it right at my head, directly behind me. Something? Nothing? Reaching? I thought it was cool anyway lol

Nothing? Reaching? I thought it was cool anyway lol it's pretty easy to figure out where andromeda should be as it's near the celestial south pole and an obvious constellation, but because it's near the celestial south pole you will need a nice low horizon to the south before you can start looking for it, and decent conditions. it will look like a small smudge to the naked eye and some smaller galaxies may be visible nearby. on the topic of naked-eye astronomy, if you've been getting really clear days you can see bright planets in broad daylight, quite easily. you just need to know where to look so it pays to sit in the same spot at the same time of day in lots of shade so your eyes aren't closing light out to protect themselves from direct sunlight. it really is rewarding.
