teonanacatl Posted June 18, 2006 (edited) They have only really just started growing, 6 months on, masive root network on some now. Lost a few to rot after cyclone damage but most survived really well. Now if only i would be sunny here they could grow fatter !!!! lol compare to when i planted them Edited June 18, 2006 by teonanacatl
teonanacatl Posted June 18, 2006 (edited) i should add that the pachanoi, eileens, bridgesii have puped heaps, ive also planted some more. Alice Posted June 21, 2006 beautiful Teo, u'd wanna get some decent armor on when it comes to pruning duties i would take a photo from exactly the same spot each 6 months or year, then in a decade or so you can make a "flip-book" and really watch them grow before your eyes ive never been to QLD but i take it that winters are fairly dry there? mark80 Posted June 21, 2006 ive never been to QLD but i take it that winters are fairly dry there? I find cairns area to be fairly dry in winter. They usually go through cold snaps were for a week or so it gets really cold and dry and then goes up again. Awsome garden lorax!

teonanacatl Posted July 4, 2007 Ijust pulled them all out lol mymum wanted her yard back, Ill try post a pic of the cuts i pulled out, I counted 133 plants and a lot are 1m long. I just sprinkledlime on the soil heaps of it and some chook poo, use to be a vege patch. Had some plants rot but that was mainly due to the fact that they were covered with weeds and didnt get any light. After the rains the plants would fall over too and have to be staked up. In the end I was just cutting plants and burying them without callusing and they rooted and grew fine. Definetly reccomend people do it. Should see my viridis and thai plants too trees should i say. Will get some pics.
