Yeah - I'd never heard Brugmansia (you wanna hear how they pronounce it!) called "Devil's Breath" before amongst its over 200 synonyms. (Rule of thumb ethnobots - generally the more names a herb has, the longer and more exclusively, it has been in human use) The show is like one of those half warning/half promotion that western journalists take - taking a "moral" editorial stance in their media, yet see them sleazing around every rave, drugfuked and chatting up schoolies. We are ALL well aware of the dangers of the Solanaceae tropanes I think on this forumwith some oldies actually experienced with their poisonous strain to use it carefully as medicine. (It is used to counter nausea) Scopolamine or Hyoscine is an ancient "Mickey Finn".- and hence facilitates robberies, rapes, etc. and is reckless assault without regard for life. Self-administered as medicine, you become largely immune to the side-effects- but don't try it at home!. It's quicker and shorter lasting than atropine. The "practise" has put a lot of curious kids in hospital. When Carlos Castaneda wrote "The Teachings of Don Juan" (a "must read" book, ethnobots) loads of wanna-be-shaman ended up there over datura. Hence you'll get no end of warnings about it! (His books got pretty way-out - but - wonders of the internet - he sounds so lucid in this radio interview:- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ihfeOpyTDc ) If you just got to try it, the safest, legal way, in Australia anyway, is to go to the Pharmacist where they'll be happy to sell you DonnaTab - the alkaloid profile of Belladonna "Deadly Nightshade" made by "Big Pharm". You see it is very important in the quest for knowledge that you take your "drug" in your social context. This would be the western experience - you can read the accompanying literature for doses. Even your pharmacist/shaman will be delighted to tell you the effects of abuse, and what that would be to your body weight. A medico friend recently was amazed when I explained the atropine he used all the time, on patients, was the main active of Solanaceae. Back days, they extracted it from that source. Of course for ruining a victim's recollection of a crime, nothing beats Lorazepam - another Big Pharm speciality! Then again - get too cheeky and you can be held down and given a forced lobotomy - not much recollection there either! Set of sunglasses for a week and sell you off to a brothel - or back to work at the Public Service. Happens in Russia! Where they have "krokodile" now that is SHIT! And "Vice" do a good show on that! Oddly they claim there "it's the world's most dangerous drug" too. Keep Very Very Well! Friends!

Eriocereus Jusbertii is believed to be a hybrid of unkown origin because it was never found in nature. However, parents are not known so every information about parentage shouldnt be more than speculation. But it is definately closely related to the Genus Echinopsis.

I'm Polish and during his presidency I was never a huge fan of Kwasniewski (but then, I've never been a huge fan of any politician, with the exception of that dreamboat Evo Morales ), but I must say that that is a nice bit of writing, not so much for it's call to end zero-tolerance policy, but for the fact that a politician is admitting to a mistake, and moving toward fixing that mistake. It's amazing how so many ex-politicians become likeable when they no longer have a party line to tow, or a fickle, media-drunk public to pander to. They often seem to start to think for themselves and have no fear of speaking out on an issue if they feel passionately about it. Here's another example of how representative, parliamentary politics - the sort that has taken over most of the world over the last 100 years - is a shitty system and will never do much more than put roses into the shit of human organisation.

Nope, I never tested the wood as I couldnt figure out a solidly quantifiable method. I sure hope my estimate of the goodies mostly being in the bark was right- wood has to be decocted but the bark I can chew even when dry. For the berries I just ate them whole, trying to crush the seeds while chewing. The seeds have actives in them and extracts have been found to be sedating/narcotic. Its an unusual mildly bitter taste that kind of made me hungry- something reminiscent of eggplant+chicory.

Those near isomeric essential oils ain't that easy to separate folk - watch out when they say they needed chromatography to do it - though!. It one thing to do it in a test tube, in trace amounts and write a scholarly paper - quite another to "scale" it up. BTW - sarsaparilla Smilax - I use seven species - has no, little, flavour. We add it to root beer for the foam and mouth feel. Sassafras is the only flavour we know as sarsaparilla - the name root beer only caught on at my place. (I make one using Acorus calamus, sars, ginseng, angelica, ague, sass, star anise, liquorice, other herbs and spice, that is worth the name :- 'Pat Uri's 7 Roots Beer'!) Regards.

haha, It sounds like they started making WCC again. I thought you might have had an original bottle stash. Don't worry about the chilli flakes, I just thought some artisan swap-meet action could be a go-er. a 375nL bottle is too expensive to post and not worth your while. I bottled the batch this evening. Nine bottles in total, should last me three months. This recipe (quantities are a trade secret, and I shall never tell) included: Oven-roasted capsicum Caramalised onion Roasted Ginger Garlic Whole peppercorns, dry-fried then crushed Lemon Sea Salt Habaneros from my garden Disclaimer: My partner made this batch, not me this time.

Thanks. I think the canvass on which the painting is placed is just as important as whats painted on it. Texture really adds to an atmosphere and carries you away with your eyes closed or open. Pretty much finished my EP now just need to get it mastered by someone with more experience in that field. So lloking forward to Amon Tobin in June. Big Inspiration in my productions Peace

Apple does not allow French characters while entering a "wifi" password. Also it was a huge battle to get my partners mac to connect at all to an unencrypted network. I have had to "fix" many things on that Mac. From what ive seen, they deff do not "just work" One thing PC users can do that Mac users can't:

That truly is an amazing piece of artwork ! I am pretty blown away ! RESPECT !!! I can't even begin to imagine how many hours went into that ! But Im sure young Katelyn will look back in future years at these photos and will feel damn proud and nostalgiac. ( let alone the joy she got from it on her birthday ! ) I used to have foxtel - and there is a show on there called 'ace of cakes' ( that I actually did watch once or twice - shhhh ) and in all seriousness that cake is on-par if not better than anything that a team of many of their artists could produce ! Kudos to her man ! ( edit - spelling )

Sorry to rain on your parade Dug1up, but Joe Friend - author of the material you have quoted, is a looooose unit (and this is being kind to the guy). I suspected you had been reading his crap... The majority of the material on his website is completely unsubstantiated drivel... For instance.. check out this quote: Resistance - why do people protect Camphor laurels? DRUG-DEALER TRICKS For many years it has been known in NSW Northern Rivers that persons growing marijuana prefer to keep "at the long arm of the law", in remote localities and/or with dispersed growing locations. The hilly, sometimes steep country of parts of Byron Shire have been often 'preferred habitat' for growers and dealers, with ready access to an alternative, recreational locale and towns where any crop might be sold. Tricks with Camphor Laurel Trees 1. Large 'Paddock Camphors' of the climbable kind have had rope-rigs set up high in the tallest, central branches, with buckets raised by pulley, containing pots of plants in enough water/hydroponic mix for a day or more. 2. Tunnel Tents in polythene/shadehouse covering, set under a broad spreading old Camphor laurel can effectively 'double hide' a young crop from spying helicopters, since the light wavelength emitted by marijuana is concealed. 3. 'Dirty Farms' - with many Camphors, Privets and weeds - are easy to go and hide in when the helicopters pass by; the more Camphors you have to go under, the less likely you get spotted from the air. Also, 'helicopter police' do not like crawling into/under Lantana/Camphor undergrowth, and it is well known that most Lantana grows better under/with Camphor laurel trees. 4. It is alleged that the light emitted wavelength arising from Camphor, when detected from the air, is very close to that of marijuana. 5. SAFROLE and CAMPHOR OILS; BASE MANUFACTURING COMPOUNDS! The more toxic types of Camphor laurel contain Safrole in the bark-cambium (in Australia). To be able to distil both Safrole and Camphor oils from all the bark represents a 'double whammy' for druggies who have some distillation/manufacturing skills. After all, only a simple kitchen area is needed and the 'recipe' is not complex; well-read drug enthusiasts can find the Chemistry formulas and instructions in certain key Chemistry textbooks. Recreational drugs such as and including ECSTASY were first made from Camphor oil by young chemists in Germany in the late 1980s. As yet, it is not known how many young people may have died from ecstasy tablets made from Camphor laurel oil. Whilst other surrounding Shires are also involved, Trickiness' is considered most prevalent in Byron Shire, especially since Green Party Councillors of Byron Shire favour the 'recreational use' of certain drugs - as is Green Party Policy. :bootyshake: :BANGHEAD2: :puke: :uzi: :wave-finger: Utter crap in so many ways..

This is what the cintia looked like when I first acquired it, a main head & 3 offsets....the offset on the bottom left was weak & spindly. None of my cacti was collected from the wild. Klongs aren't considered in the wild are they? As they matured, more offsets occurred, & you can see new heads popping out. Currently there are 17 heads of varying sizes. Here is a non-variegated cintia. It has tiny yellow flowers when in bloom. I'll probably offer the fresh Jourd seeds in the plant & seed exchange forum. And here's a sneak preview of even more eye candy p0rn, a variegated T. grandiflorus
