Yes....safe for the workplace . I like to dabble a bit with different materials and make stuff. The latest material of choice is Jade stone. A friend sent me a Jade amulet which they had made, and straight away, i got the carving bug. I bought most of the rough Jade from eBay and I bought a Dremel, a few diamond tipped bits and some emery paper of various grades... and that was it. Jade comes in many shades, from dark to light. I like the dark Jade which looks black, but when cut thin enough and held up to a light scource, you can see that it is actually green. I find carving very therapeutic and i have spent many hours outside, like in a trance, carving stone. I have made friendship bracelets and anklets for kids, keyrings, pendants , and a few other bits and pieces. I didn't photograph all my work before i gave it away, but here is a taste of what i have made . I will add to this thread as i make new stuff . . Other stuff i have made was a 'trip simulator' AKA , a Kaleidoscope, made from brass. Then, not to forget the Native American style flute that i have already posted here at SAB, but adding it to my 'Show and Tell' thread . http://www.shaman-au...te&fromsearch=1 A bit rustic, but i enjoyed making this stuff, and that's all that really matters. I think i would enjoy doing a mosaic, like a mushroom or something. Amz EDIT: the pics have gone higgldy piggldy, but it was tricky trying to get them to all line up . * shrugs.

i know we have the main seed trading thread and new chilli seed trading. i wanted to start a fruit and vegetable seed thread for several reasons. 1. with the world changing i firmly believe more and more people will get into horticulture and start growing there own foods. 2. with the amount of poisons and our fruits and vegs becoming almost tasteless , its just crap compared to organic. 3. i also believe by doing this is will help to keep the real organic stuff alive , i mean imagine a world of nothing but GM shit. 4. sharing is caring. 5. your neighbours and friends will be envy , and im sure in due time those who you tried to warn about whats coming and going on in the world.. they will look back with deep regret. 6. think of the money you will save , how much healthier you will feel and the mental satisfaction you will gain when you see your own plants producing fruits and vegetables , the feeling is just amazing. 7.it is also a learning experience , we are always bound to experience and learn about fruits and vegetables we have never even heard of before.. or yet seam almost impossible to find. well im going to kick start this with my rare heirloom capsicum plant.. the capsicums are long , and sweet and produces rather well. they go from green to orange/ yellow to a nice deep red colour. i shall get the proper name of this awesome capsicum tomorrow. (note to the admins - perhaps pin this thread and the chilli seed trading threads ? ) VVVV gets 30 heirloom capsicum seeds freshly picked. also gets 20 mini heirloom baby carrot seeds VVVV

Ok here are the biggest of my grafts which I think are the same grafts that I posted in the last update. I love the first one it is a tough little thing you can still see the damage at it base that it sustained from orange rot when it was first grafted Cheers Got

Well, here's a photo of one of my plants (white variety). And here are some photos of the mythical wild Leonitis crop in Manly that I mentioned earlier. I really did think it was bullshit, but there you go! It took my about 30 minutes of driving to find it. I must be some sort of Schultes ethnobot genius or something! There are at least 50 plants, probably much more. I'll harvest in the morning. Hurrah!

Welcome JohnJohn We were all underage, naive, or addicted at some point...of course....we all had a life before we found this place after all of course this guy can be converted......but not by being an ass to him..... a simple pointing out of the forum rules to him, in a nice way, would have been much more likely to induce him to participate in the forum, and the giving and sharing of plants and knowledge this place is about. PM me your details John John and ill see to it that some of the fun stuff that hasnt been banned yet makes it your way. Only catch is it will all be seed, to force you to gain the knowledge on how to really appreciate each plant, from sowing, and finally right through to consumption. Much more rewarding if its your own produce, and gives the grower time to learn the mysteries/keys of control of each plant before being innadvertantly smacked in the face by the heavy blows many can dish out.

It's not all about the pretty flowers Psylo Dread! Salvia is a very interesting genus. I have several plants which have medicinal use, and of course, Salvia apiana for my smoking rituals. I do wonder whether we can "turn" someone like John John in to someone who has respect for ethnobotanical research and use and not just see plants as a source for getting high? Because that's just an extension of the failure of our society to see nature not simply a resource to be raped and used but rather as something magical that can provide endless supplies of food, shelter and above all wonder?

those statments of people saying dagga is harsh and rough to smoke is incorrect, those people have not cured there product. seth's post tells how to cure herbs. if you smoke fresh un cured mj, it tastes rough aswell. dagga is in fact a very mild and lovly smoke.

This isn't a quick fix, so it may not be what you're looking for, but I find a daily cup of raw cacao + hot water (and sometimes a teaspoon of sugar, to lessen the bitterness), a capsule or two of 5-HTP (griffonia simplicifolia extract), and a good amount of time in the sun (preferably gardening, or bushwalking) is the perfect foundation for a continued sense of well-being. That, plus reading or some other equally stimulating mental activity. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Griffonia_simplicifolia http://www.medsci.org/v04p0053.htm
