Nemisty Posted December 7, 2013 (edited) Oooooh! I would love a clone B if it's in NZ! that would be great! It hasn't even made it to the North Island yet Sabry! Anyway that would be suggesting someone ship it across the ditch which is a big no-no Edited December 23, 2013 by Nemisty
Pie'oh'Pah Posted December 7, 2013 I have only had this plant for about 6 months and have had 8 pups in that time. Different from my three other short clumping versions as they continue to extend vertically. Will know better by the end of summer.

irabionist Posted March 5, 2014 @Pie'oh'Pah looks like the clumping penis (type some grow short then pup, and some grow up to around 9" then pup. 100% got the Long TBM in Aus now, propagating it.

zelly Posted March 8, 2014 A real problem on them elongated penii is a lack of aeroles. Sabry, does your cutting have any? nothing worse than having a tall penis & no aeroles....
irabionist Posted March 8, 2014 Luckily it has three right at the bottom, I was thinking of bapping them all,
zelly Posted March 8, 2014 let the plant fully re-establish itself & then bap only 1
djmattz0r Posted March 8, 2014 Have you found that BAP is more effective when used on a single aerole zelly? I guess it makes sense now that I think about it, as most of my cacti with multiple BAP'd aeroles have not pupped from them....
zelly Posted March 8, 2014 if bap forces new growth at the aeroles, then it's not really wise to force more than one at a time unless the overall size & mass of the plant would support new growth at 2 or more bapped aeroles simultaneously. You risk considerably stalling growth for a long time. Dont forget about the tip of the main plant, you may want that to continue to grow as well if you want big fat healthy bapped pups, you'll wait until the plants root system is fully developed before bapping
irabionist Posted August 3, 2014 A little update, It has started to grow and is re-hydrated, roots are growing really well, around 10+cm long Top areole has been BAPed although when spring hits, if the areole hasn't pupped, I'm thinking of cutting it around half way to force the pup out. But still weary of doing so as the top has no areoles and I wouldn't want it to stall.
tipz Posted August 3, 2014 I have a long form TBM I may be interested to trade with.... maybe. European clone. Only a chode at around 6 inches - but with some loving Im sure it will grow thick and strong ;) Originated from germany. I'm pretty attached to it though - and not after coin... can get pics if anyone is interested. I love buttons and feelgood stuff :D
