A major revision occurred to http://www.largelyaccurateinformationmedia.com/cp/cp.html In coming weeks many more images will be added and the missing entries completed. With luck the presently unidentifed species will have names assigned. Help in identifications or ID corrections are hugely welcomed.

n.b. it's already been established in other threads that some people think women raping guys is ok to laugh at, other people think it's not ok to laugh at, no one thinks men raping women is funny, some people think man->woman rape is an unfair comparison with woman->man rape, others think it is, with innumerable dubious lines of reason for each.. do people really want to have that debate again..

"Human bodies naturally contain a small amount of it, as do cane toads, but a new drug that has been found in Western Australia in the past week is of great concern to Police and drug experts." I still have seen no conclusive evidence humans contain any amount of DMT & until there is it is just a theory not fact. As to cane toads I have never seen an analysis of cane toads or cane toad venom with DMT, Bufotenine-5HODMT is not DMT. "Professor Allsop said the drug which occurs naturally in the human body, in cane toads and some plants, was far more potent in the synthetic version." Sheer nonsense, wether it is synthesised or biosynthesised it is the same drug. Vual freebase & different salts can have differing potencies & effects aswell as effective ROA's but thats not what they are talking about, they ar3 merely talking about the way in which it was created. "He said the effects could be even more detrimental on people vulnerable to mental health issues." Fair enough but a balanced view would be that it could also be more beneficial, siting the study done on upregulation of seretonin receptors in UDV members for example. I think most others have done a fairly good job of pointing out the other falacies in the 1st article. "The manufacture process can pose a threat to health, property" The biggest threat regarding your health & property is the manufatured threat of arrest & gaol time. Those who go to gaol have a higher incedence of suicide, disease & drug, alcohol & gambling addictions & mental health problems. What does it say when a punishment is far more damaging then the crime to a community? "Police Assistant Commissioner (Crime) Nick Anticich said the threat of new and emerging illicit substances should be a concern to the community, particularly those who used unregulated and dangerous substances." "Taking these drugs is a high-risk activity, especially as the composition and potency varies significantly and cannot be adequately controlled during the manufacture process," The main danger about them is that they are unregulated. Regulate them, minimise the danger & problem solved. A big problem i have with that second article is "police said" its just lazy journalism & I mosty write it off as a fucking lie, if they were'nt just making shit up surely the could properly name their source. Part of me wonders if they realy are that stupid & lazy or wether it is deliberate misinformation

The usual media hype and bureaucratic ignorance . Spice is nothing new - it's been here for a long ,long , time . And will still be here after we're long gone . Ineradicatable . Unenforcable . Beautiful .

statistically and mathematically speaking you are one trillion times more likely to walk out in front of a moving car from being drunk then a hit of DMT.. like seriously...... should'nt there be a law based on media spinning lies and disinformation ? surely they can be sued for there actions ?

"When will they learn that "war on drugs" is war against your own children, family, workmates - your own people i.e. it is government declared civil war?" jeesus man!, that made me a shiver. what a fantastic way to put it!

Yeah looks interesting. I just noticed in your tagg line that its online and free. Can't complain about getting free education. The main thing my university education taught me was how little I really know about anything. Have fun and I hope you enjoy your course.

i just had a thought, this guy's actions make him more than qualified for australian of the year, it would be awesome if talented writers and even film/doco type people could go keep a record of the events that will transpire and put him in a really good light, then try to get the public to see these articles and such, and then have people enter him in the aus of the year, i'm not really sure how it works so i dunno if people can enter other people or not... but what better way to get him out of trouble with the law and give light to medical cannabis. can anyone see merit in what i'm saying?

It's an internet-borne campaign, so it must be genuine ! Just like Kony last month, the wall street sit-in a few months ago and in a month from now there will be something else.Welcome to 2012 & beyond, where seemingly obvious bullshit sucks the logic from millions of vunerable internet users.

My girlfriends father (now passed), who lived in Melbourne, used to have Multiple Sclerosis and was a member of the Compassion Club in Nimbin. Every month they would send him medicinal cookies and joints. After using these products his shaking would stop. Such a waste that something natural, can be grown so easily and costs almost nothing to grow should be illegal for medical use

It was only a matter of time. Yeah there is no official exemption but a judge is not going to want to lock you up for simple possession/cultivation if your dying of cancer. Because he is supplying & the large number & prior for the same thing I doubt he would avoid a conviction. On the other hand in a northern NSW court with the community behind him & a damn good lawyer who knows... http://www.shaman-australis.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=23671&hl=mullaway&fromsearch=1

Ever heard of heterosis (hybrid vigour) PH? I don't have an opinion of 'Nexus' either way, but it's possible the hybrid has more vigour than either of its parents.

Like 99% of people who read that, u have misunderstood it. Of the 200 odd g, they fractionally distill 62g of it, of which they collect that 62g in several diff fractions, the highest fraction containing upto 90%, but the fraction is only a few milliletres of the 62g sample being tested. If u do the math, it works out that total saf content of the oil in highest situation would be around the 10-15% mark.

While we are talking about such plants does anybody know the oil composition of the Blush-walnut, Beilschmiedia obtusifolia, which according to Flückiger (1887), has bark that affords about 2% of volatile oil and has a distinct 'sassafras' odour, implying it has safrole. Flückiger, P. 1887. The Distribution Of Safrol. Am. J. Pharm. 59(8), http://www.henriettesherbal.com/eclectic/j.../08-safrol.html and the River Red Gum, Eucalyptus camaldulensis was found to contain up to 0.3% safrole in its essential oil (Aboriginal Communities, 1993). (now if only there are high chemotypes out there). Aboriginal Communities of the Northern Territory. 1993. Traditional Aboriginal Medicines in the Northern Territory of Australia.
