CoLaNuT Posted June 17, 2012 I think they start as decent people all looking to help the community...........ten seconds into the job they all turn into dodgy, aresholes. But the winner has to be Paul Keating. Legendary King of pricks and arseholes. Just my opinion though.
LokStok Posted June 17, 2012 But the winner has to be Paul Keating. jeez, I wish he was still in parliament. He certainly was a prick, but he had a spine, did what he said he would, and wasn't a slave to opinon polls.

Stillman Posted June 18, 2012 Abbott. Why Craig Thompson? There is an old saying in politics "never mind the truth make the bastard deny it". Whether thats the case here or in Peter Slippers situation, it makes you think. ps I don't like Slipper either.
dionysus Posted June 18, 2012 julia gillard, horrible woman. in international politics, obama. there are probably worse, but none get my blood hotter

incognito Posted June 18, 2012 (edited) Lol definAtely barnaby! What's that redneck Queensland premier? Hates gays and Asians.. Bob Catt ? Oh and that bearded asshole who was in charge of atsic, they guy who was charged with rape and other sordid things. He was such an arrogant bastard who blew millions of tax dollars. A very sinister and corrupt individual. Tiny abott is a complete stooge but for entertainment value I wish he was pm. Imagine the headlines, he wouldn't be able to keep his foot out of his mouth. Would be hilarity. Keating had swagger lol. In primary school we went to canberra to parliament house and sat in on question time. Keating was late, and just swaggered in all casual like, all the other pollies where hooking in to him as he Ambled in 15 mins late, so he walks to his desk, then just casual as, looked around at them all, then turned around and walked out again, just full of shutzpah and swagger. Was the coolest thing. I thought he was cooler than the fonz growing up. Edited June 18, 2012 by incognito

ThunderIdeal Posted June 18, 2012 Lol definAtely barnaby! What's that redneck Queensland premier? Hates gays and Asians.. Zen Peddler Posted June 18, 2012 mal Brough is up there for me. Comes across as mr nice guy but I know from someone's personal experience that surprise, surprise a conservative is a skullyduggard of the best variety. As for Craig Thompson, Kath Jackson is no angel - her boyfriend's kids being paid $50K wages for doing work they apparenrtly did in Melbourne while at school in Sydney, earning the lowly wage of $270K per year, charging companies of her friends and perhaps even her own 'consultancy' fees as high as 40K to 100K for what exactly? Important trips to Hong Kong to look at sportscars, ex hubby on HSU payroll three years after he resigned etc. All of this the same union funds poor old Craig tried to get a sly root off... Torsten Posted June 18, 2012 'Hate' is an odd word to use in politics. Don't forget that many politicians are in it for the job, not the conviction. ie, many politicians would happily swap parties if it got them a better position. Not that it is all about money. rather I think it is mostly about ego. I think Tony Abbott is dangeorous. Him as PM will set australia back by decades culturally. We also stalled under howard in that respect and gillard is more focussed on youth education than adult culture, so it's not like we are making up any ground at the moment. Not that culture is that important to me, but with it come tolerance and broader horizons. That's why I liked keating. The pompous ass annoyed the hell out of me, but what he did for the arts and [multi]cultural understanding is a legacy that even 20 years of footy-centric ogres could not undo. Abbott will be bad for our international reputation in regards to human rights on so many levels. His paternal attitude to aboriginal issues was proven to be counterproductive many decades ago, but is his only policy in that regard. His homophobia will hurt our tourism. His simplistic refugee 'solutions' will make us an outsider with the nations we are tyring so hard to befriend for trade. His religious brainwashing will undermine the separation of church and state. His obsession with power will irreparably harm our democracy and its institutions. if he becomes PM we will pay for that mistake for a long time after he is gone. That puts him pretty much at the top of the list for me. The only saving grace about Abbott winnning is that he won't be in the job for long. his lack of policies and his lies will make him come unstuck very quickly and then malcolm turnbull will take over. I am pretty open about being a green socialist, but at the moment I'd actually much prefer turnbull to be PM. All of the issues I mentioned above would no longer be issues and I think he'd be a better PM than Gillard. So in a way it is good to have the liberals led by such a hated person as that is keeping the right faction of the liberal party out of power until turnbull has the numbers. Zen - the latest revelations on Kath Jackson, her hubby and their connections to Fair Work are pretty mindblowing. It's not often that a far out conspiracy story as claimed by Thompson turns out to be true, but WOW, it is really startign to look that way now. His pissy little brothel charge is nothing against the possibly several hundred thousand the Jacksons racked up. Considering it is the same brothel Jackson had multiple charges for it is starting to look like even the Thompson charges aren't Thompson's. Given how quickly Abbott stood behind the jacksons and the slipper accusations, I would not be surprised if between the two scandals the liberal party's leadership is going to come crashing down.
