Nice collection of Lophs How old are the bigger ones?

Is there a chance they're not T. peruvianus? I haven't seen T. peru seedlings before but they don't look a lot like the grown-ups of that species.

Repotted a few, weeding at the same time... have been unable to find any pots between 290 mm and 450 mm so went with the 450s Gonna be some big boys in those in a couple of years time. They have been sorely neglected in 250 mm pots for a few years. I find Trichs don't mind being cramped too much if you keep the food and water up, but there comes a time when the plant weighs 4 times as much as the pot and it's very hard to keep them upright without leaning them up against something. So the new pots feel good. Took some cuttings a few days ago, left out in sun to dry off (contrary to popular advice but always works for me)... except today it's raining and I forgot to put them under cover, oops. Still a work in progress as the pics show. The second one I have high hopes for as a pretty-boy specimen of my favourite clone.

Hi, Quick question. Is it OK to use crushed rock "toppings" as a mulch in pots of Trichocereus cacti? I have some left over from some landscaping, was about to use them and then wondered whether all the fine powder in amongst them might overdose the plants on soluble minerals? (After all rock dust is used as a fertiliser) FWIW it looks like crushed sedimentary rock of some sort with particles of all sizes right down to a large amount of fine chalk/clay-like dust.

Forget all the supplements and crap- there is very little science to support them having anything more than a minor effect. Just go to the gym and do low reps heavy loads. Regularly. For me the biggest help was having a gym near work and making a habit of going every lunch time for a quick circuit. (3 sets of 8 reps of 4-5 compound upper body and core exercises). If I have to be stuck in a routine humdrum of wage slavery, at least I can make use of the repetition for some personal improvement. It's worked for me- I just want to be fit and strong. In fact I am looking at finding something else to occupy lunch times as I don't want to get any bigger and start to look even more like a knuclehead. People wanting to look like phar lap might need more.

P.S. the whole idea of "mushrooms" and "busted" in the same sentence is just absurd to me. How the hell can those retards claim the right to ban another organism? Thankfully Psilocybes are among the most common of pioneer species in most parts of Aus. No need to grow them. Totalitarian efforts to control them are as futile as trying to ban grass or oxygen.

Not just the modern version of it. We still ban books in this country. Have a read of TiHKAL for an interesting anecdote about this. Fuckin joke. We only live in "democracy" insofar as we are free to choose every few years between a couple of idiotic stooges who both stand for nothing but election.

Congrats mate - could have been far, far worse from what you describe. P.S, the above is pretty good illustration of why everyone should have a fire extinguisher under the driver's seat. Pop the bonnet or smash a headlight if you need to and spray through the hole. Cars go up very quick - if it catches, by the time the fire brigade gets there it's a write off in most instances.

I would like to come if I can find time away from the fam. Don't think I can justify $150 to the Mrs sorry Ronny (I know you're not turning a profit - just the way it is for some of us) but a free meetup would be great.

Anybody else despairing about the cost of real estate? haha
r2pi replied to gtarman's topic in Chill Space
That's right - it's one thing to work to produce something or to pay for something someone else has worked to produce. But no-one worked to produce land. You only pay because people with property rights people have the power to make you pay and exploit it to maximise their benefit and your loss. -
Great photo. God damn - such amazing things achieved and then ceased before I was even born (and I am not young). We could go there again for the amount of money the US spends EVERY MONTH on war. WTF is so interesting about killing people and so uninteresting about exploring entirely new worlds???

'Wiki Weapon Project' Aims To Create A Gun Anyone Can 3D-Print At Home
r2pi replied to nabraxas's topic in News & Notices
And if you mark on those graphs (or more recent ones) when major gun control legislation was introduced, namely 1997 and 2002, you will see they had no discernible effect on the previously existing decline. All they did was restrict civil liberties and win politicians more votes by whipping up mass moral panic. As drug users, people on here should be well aware of that topic. The same point applies to "boat people" and, well, pretty much every manufactured issue they whip up in order to make it sound like they stand for something other than re-election. -
Would love to know what Stan Grof thinks of this...
