sobriquet
Hi all.I love the British sound and style. I've always preferred it to American. Two songs that I particularly like are by British artists and end in a series of "La la la.." type lyrics which I could listen to over and over.Absolutely love them and for me proves the adage that "there is joy in repetition."Number 1: Don't you (forget about me) by Simple Minds ends in a ... laaaaaa la la la la... la la la la.... etc.Number 2: Hey Jude by the Beatles ends in a different la la la la ... lalalala......Number 3: Smurfs theme song.... la la la la la lalala laaaaAre there any other lalala type songs that you know of that I've missed?I love the first two... and find the third memorable too Cheers. cisumevil
You should love this band then.........The La'sThe La's were an English rock band of the late 1980s and early 1990s from Liverpool consisting of frontman Lee Mavers (vocals) and John Power (bass, backing vocals), plus a rotating cast of guitarists and drummers. The band wrote the original version of the famous song "There She Goes".

The Orb sampled it a few years back, and I think its been referenced in South Park (or was it the simpsons?).

sobriquet
Roxette's "She's Got The Look" had a "na na na na na" refrain ;)Yeah the nanana is a variation and you might be right about Hey Jude being 'na' rather than 'la' but I've always sung it as 'la' for whatever reason. I'm sure there's a whole heap of nanana songs too. I'll have to make a list of those too at some point.
