The 2nd it is, hope ta see everyone there. If anyone would like a lift from the station or for me to pick ya's up on the way down send me a PM to work out details. I don't mind scenic detours. Possibly someone who knows where the place is since I have no idea at the moment until I look it up.

Thats quite handy to know, I wasn't aware that Steno was synonymos with Pachy, thanks for the info. So Sten & Pachy are like Echinopsis and Trichocereus in a sense ?

On my way to visit a friends place I noticed 3 groups of plants of about 7-10 columns each at a height of about 18ft+ I was in total awe, at first I thought they were the most beautiful scops I had ever seen. Moving closer I noticed the spines/areoles looked somewhat connected meaning not what I had hoped. Since the owner wasn't home I wrote a note saying what amazing plants they were and if it would be fine for me to get a cut please call. Next day he did and this was the smallest "pup" that I saw. He went around the back and laid the boot into the smaller ones that I didn't notice initially. Anyways, what the posts about... Would everyone else call this a P.marginatus aswell or could it be something else ? He said when in bloom the flowers are red if that helps any. I have other pics if needed, I need to go back and get a shot of the massive mother plants.

I should be able to pick some people up on the way aswell. I'm near morisset

I'd be interested in a meet whenever a time or place is decided

Yep, horses and P.radiata. It probably shouldn't be in this thread since it was on the Central Coast but it was mentioned earlier in the thread so I posted it. The thread kind of went to shit there for a bit any way, it seemed fitting to post a pic of it plus why the threads here in the first place.

If looking on ebay for cookers it may be better to do a international search for "pressure canner" instead of cooker. When I last looked postage was anywhere from 55-90US with a 22qt presto costing 60-70US, so at the top end 160US for a 22qt seems pretty cheap to me, they occasionally have second hand bargains aswell. At greenliving, about the only aus canning place I have seen on the net the 22qt Presto is going for around 350AU. Occasionally target I think has 7lt Magfesa's for around $35.

Welcome. I think Lophophora lewinii is an outdated name. Originally L.williamsii were called Ariocarpus/Anhalonium lewinii in the late 1800s. Or even Echinocactus williamsii lewinii before that. Changing a few times before finally being called Lophophora williamsii. From the sound of things though you have a clumping williamsii with an old name.
