  1. Got some freshly cut, very healthy pachanoi cuttings available. From an original SAB stock purchased over ten years ago. Looking for $15 for the slightly scarred mid section piece (1), $20 for the cleaner mid cuts and $25 for the flawless tip. 24/01/2017: Only two mid sections still available... special price for SAB members: 2 for $25... All cuts are super chunky, a little dehydrated from the lack of rain but in great condition. Buyer pays postage of course.
  2. stunning. I think I want that Green Ant! PMing you right now!
  3. hey dood: r u really gonna publish your home address right out here in the open? (or am i being a little paranoid?)
  4. beautiful. are they available for purchase? i'm always looking for unique stuff to give as gifts.
  5. Frankly, i wish we all had the balls (me included) to stand up like Greg for the things we believe in. Perhaps if we were more cohesive and organised then it would happen sooner and with far less consequences for individuals like Greg.
  6. Amazing garden. (whipper snipper and cactus? Ballsy.)
  7. Sample size: 2. Result: positive Happy New Year!
  8. In for sure. And yes, plant swaps should be an important sub-theme. I've got some cacti that are overdue for a prune and others that are just in need of a good home.
  9. I can spare some seed - just PM me your address.
  10. Piked it and had a "Gastrolyte" instead. Then felt guilty and had a water with a several grinds of (Himalayan) salt - funny, it tasted much like the Gastrolyte. Had another Gastrolyte at 4:30am. Feel exceptional today - zero hangover. Cheers for the tip!! And Merry Christmas all you fellow SABers.
  11. well after a couple of Johnnie Walker double-black and blue (1st time) with my father-in-law (overrated IMO and, quietly, not half as good as the quick Glenmorangie ([Tayne]) at my place on their way to the cemetery) i'm off to the pub to meet friends. Seems i'll be needing the advice from this thread tomorrow and will let you know how it works out. The glass of saltwater scares me more than the hangover right now..
  12. ^ or repercussions from your admission! sail away buddy...
  13. fruits of me labour. Any tips on getting the kernels off for making popcorn appreciated (I let them dry on the cob, right?).
  14. posting it here because it is a truly golden piece of video:
  15. lol - thought i'd time traveled...
  16. Whilst out walking today I came across this absolutely massive, i'm guessing, cereus and right next to it some monstrose...

    Home made mead

pitch the yeast, settle the trub and rack that brew. and dont forget to floculate! I feel like such a newb... but i'm keen to give this a go too. i remember picking up some bottles of mead from Mudgee Honey many, many years ago (do they still exist?). It was quite nice, but the real deal was their honey mead liqueur... omfg.
  18. We all go through ups and downs and I guess participation in the site reflects this. As ☽Ţ ҉ĥϋηϠ₡яღ☯ॐ€ says there are plenty of other distractions at the moment but "dying out" sounds far too pessimistic. Plus, it's spring, so i'm trying to spend more time outside in my garden rather than in front of a computer.
  19. TBH i'm pretty much over the whole thing. The thought of either of them at the helm gives me the heebie jeebies. And because I am a mere pawn in this world and know absolutely nothing of whats really going on, I cannot form a firm opinion on the old media conspiracy smear campaign stuff. This waiting though...
  20. s'funny how I always thought it necessary to drive North for cubes when I was younger. Usually a minimum of 4 hours from Sydney... South always seemed too cold but you live and learn. Presumably they grow much further south - Tasmania even? (i'm sure i've seen some North American spore seller flogging "Tazzie Devils" or something).
  21. very nice. I particularly like that second one - what is it?
  22. Me too. But sadly she's just not interested...
  23. I had a dream last night that I was taking part in a race around the Sydney Harbour Bridge. (That's right around - it was somehow circular in my dream.) I'd purchased some sort of vehicle for the race but at the last minute decided to take my (IRL) turbo-charged vehicle. I was certain I'd win. Strangely (if its not strange enough already) it was a bit of an obstacle course with all these market stalls selling clothing set up on it that had to be dodged. I persevered, but only got about 10% through the course when I was awoken to take a piss. I could swear that after getting back to sleep I went back to the same dream to battle on with the race. (This also happened a second time - pit stops perhaps?). To the best of my knowledge, there was no winner. (It was interesting to read in the news this morning that there was chaos on the bridge following two separate car accidents at either end - coincidence?).
