  1. That guy's prices are a joke, but yeah clever move on the full stop in the label.. although I notice there's another ad from someone else for cutton cactus without a full stop so maybe its another reason. Anyway, both of those prices are ridiculous!

My thoughts are with you nabraxas, I can't imagine how horrible what you are going through must be! Since your post a while ago, I think of my wife and what it would mean if she was taken from me, and I can't bear the thought, yet I force myself to think it through sometimes because I know this is something that, like you, I will one day have to face. How have you been coping? Having anything by Thomas Hardy stuck in your head must increase the sadness many times over! I read The Woodlanders a dozen or so years back when my wife and I were dating.. I compared myself and her to the characters and then the end was so tragic, which I hear is typical of Thomas Hardy.. typical of the end of just about everything I suppose. It seems trite to say "if there's anything I can do...", especially to someone over the internet, but if you ever want to chat about anything I am here. Hope you are surrounded by loving people and can find some little comfort around here. Love you man! (another trite thing to say over the internet) Anyway, thinking about you... It must seem impossibly overwhelming at times, but know there are more good things waiting for you in the future!
  3. It appears permission must be gained only when exporting raw pounamu over 5kg: Source: http://www.legislati...DLM3811707.html I have been reading about this because I am interested in getting hold of some raw greenstone (pounamu) for Amazonian to carve something for me, as I am of maori descent (Ngati Kuri).. maybe I should learn to do it myself, but I am pretty lazy! Also, as for whether it can be sold or not, greenstone is for sale everywhere in NZ, but there is a tradition that the mana increases with each successive generation it is passed down.
  4. SALVO were you successful in getting the cuttings to root? Or did you graft them?
  5. I have been thinking about something like this lately! I have heard from people how entire sections of Acacias in some areas (I'm assuming around York) have been completely stripped, which also apparently got the attention of Department of Conservation and Land Management (or whatever they are called now). I have never used the alakloids that come fro this plant, and I think I would be hesitant to if it meant a whole tree dying.. It shocked me to hear about people who are using a supposedly enlightening substance acting in a way that is so destructive, greedy and small minded.. I really hope it is no one from this forum that has been doing this! I read on one forum where someone was saying to try and be conservative with how much they took and maybe think about replanting them and fools were saying "nah its cool they grow everywhere" Yeah not for long with ignorant greedy cunts like you around! Anyway, I have no idea where would be a good place to do some guerilla planting like this, or how to go about it generally.. assuming I get a couple of hundred seedlings going, does anyone have any suggestions of ways to go about this discreetly?
  6. Someone must want this? if I wasn't in WA would jump on it!
  7. Very cool Amazonian, I too love the leaf, reminds me of the leaf on super mario!
  8. Far out these are getting crazy.. I like the guy in all the gold stuff and the mean looking renaissance dude with the mullet. PM me with your addy mira.. Hey Amazonian, I didn't get a PM from you just so ya know..
  9. Agreed Amazonian, and thanks! I had seen Lordmayo's last set of photos and was very impressed, but these ones are even more amazing! Send me your details and I'll get the seeds off to you soon! I've really enjoyed this, so another two packs are available for anyone else who wants to share there favorite art!
  10. Hey guys, cheers for that, very cool paintings, I found both of these really interesting! PM me your deets and I'll send the sees off soon.
  11. I sure do like! Would be awesome mate, PMing you now.
  12. My last art assignment is finished and now its time to slack off, but first I thought a small giveaway would be in order to celebrate. So, the first three people to tell me who their favourite artist is and why will get sent a pack of seeds containing the following: 33 Acacia acuminata (wide phyllodes) "raspberry jam wattle" 33 Acacia cyclops (west coast) 33 Acacia floribunda "white sallow wattle" Also, if you add an image from your favourite artist in your post I will include 12 Nuytsia floribunda (WA Christmas Tree) seed thingies.
  13. Song is pretty cool, even though it got overplayed on the radio.. but the video clip cracks me up:
  14. Haha, run that shit! I love that track, and Edan generally.
  15. I use L-theanine every day, its always hard to tell if it is having much an effect or placebo but for whatever reasons I haven't had a lot of anxiety lately, despite factors that should have caused some. Certainly hasn't caused any drowsiness. I would be interested if you try it to hear if you think it makes a difference. I've been using this one. There is also evidence it may have a beneficial synergy with caffeine: Source: http://www.ncbi.nlm....pubmed/18006208
  16. I'll definitely be at the next one, unless its 35 degrees again, which is extremely unlikely at that time of year. So that should make it pretty exciting.

    Done

Tripsis, you have an amazing collection, and I'm just curious to know why you are selling all these beautiful plants?
  19. I am looking to buy plants of P. carth and P. alba, as I heard they grow faster and do better in WA. Any size will do, bigger is better. I have a few P. viridis leaves I am nursing into growth.. they root easily but seem to take forever to put out plantlets! PM me with what you've got and price.. cash is boring I know but have nothing to trade really yet.. just wait til next year!
  20. There's basically 0% chance I will be there due to various factors.. Was looking forward to fisticuffs with chnt too.. not studying next semester so will definitely be there, hope you guys have fun.
  21. Yeah but it hasn't been updated yet.. some seeds can be sent to WA, some not. The list of what is permitted is linked to here, I still havenpt gotten around to installing anything to open the .xls yet!
  22. There is a cactus nursery in WA, they are wholesale only I think but sometimes places like that will still sell to the public if you give them a call.
  23. Haha eatfoo I thought of that too "and its okay to eat fish cause they don't have any feelings" Oh yeah and don't forget: "we can have some more: nature is a whore"
  24. Yes but then after the flood YHWH also gives the animals for food (Gen 9) and under the Mosaic law requires that all sorts of animals be sacrificed to him. Also, he gets some animal skins to cover up Adam and Eve so presumably he killed animals himself before all this. To take it in its literal wording, the actual hebrew word means "murder" and it also must be read in context, which was one where killing of animals and other human beings was permitted.. eg Moses gives commands for sacrifice, warfare against other nations and capital punishment within the Hebrew tribes. So YHWH in the Bible approves of the killing of humans for idolatry or sexual crimes for example, and other animals for both food and sacrifice. The NT changes this somewhat, ie. love your enemies (not just your Israelite neighbors) and it's okay for non-jews to eat "unclean" animals but there is no vegetarianism.. Jesus himself ate lamb and fish. _____________________ Even if it were true that the Bible endorsed child sacrifice, I'm not sure how that is relevant to what I was saying? I agree that different parts of the Bible say wildly different things, that's why I was pointing out the parts that allow for and command killing of humans and other animals. ________________ This is correct, although I do still find studying the Bible and the religions it spawned interesting, but strictly from a critical perspective.
  25. Far out! Nice collection man, I know how hard it is to give up your succulent friends when you move.. wish you were in WA I would definitely be interested. *edit I just remembered there was some kind of rule of "don't post if not interested" oops sorry!
