Wow. Those are just beautiful. They definitely have the iconic T. pachanoi look to them. If you ever have any clones for trade please let me know!! I don't grow many trichs, but I would be all over those.

Very nice, slice, are these all from the same plant?

Also, do you have any pics of the original plant, was it very large/mature?

And were there any longer spines that formed on the more mature parts of the plant? How long were the longest spines?

Just curious, She's an absolute quintessential beauty! <___base_url___>/uploads/emoticons/default_smile.png

That T. pachanoi 'Matucana' from succseed unfortunately will not look at all similar to this, they are actually T. peruvianus from Matucana, probably something similar to IcaroDNA.

My seedlings are still only a couple centimeters tall, but are already the spiniest little bastards I've ever seen!

I mean, they do look nice, but it's still a bit dissapointing because I was really hoping for plants similar to the ones in the OP, the 'real' pachanoi.

T.peruvianus, Huancabamba (SuccSeed)

The Huacabamba peruvianus is the only plant of 30 differend i sow that looks like pachanoi.

Sac red Succulents sell Huacabamba as pachanoi, i dont know, its the same. I can say because i have zero germination with the huancabamba seeds from SS.

comment: these cuts have been rooting in pure coir since day one, scarcely fed and in 7 liter pots ( small now). A 50% extra girth at the base can be seen forming a circle ( thats peruvian grown tissue) compared to the tips. Transplanting is time consuming and I have done other things, this winter I am taking more care.

Its spines are very short and the tip is quite flat headed. spines are red,orange/yellow. 6-8 ribs. The color of the original material was more in the lines of One, as Mauve said.

Hey slice, sorry for the stupid question but can you confirm that these are the clone on your website that you call MT08 "Lima Flower's Market". Are these the original cuts that you brought back.

They are absolutely beautiful and I really like them a lot. Thanks for your reply mate :)
