trichpach
This is pornographic in content and nature! Surely, there should have been some sort of NSFW tag or something.I'm blushing right now.

bogfrog
Dood, try being friends with this guy and feeling good about your collection lol. Please take into account he is not your standard human being. Atleast 6 years of a normal collector's amount of money, time and effort were expended and crammed into 3 years of collecting by my cactus-mad-mate <___base_url___>/uploads/emoticons/default_tongue.pngEverything comes at a price lol. bogfrog
Alright, prepare for some mega cactus eye-candy, here are the pics from my most recent visit to this very special cactus garden. The owner, myself and another cacti-lover went out for a day of grafting madness last weekend.Between us there must have been close to 50 grafts achieved in the one day. It felt kinda weird somewhat decimating his lovely trichos for grafting stock, but he was adamant that his tastes had evolved and trichos werent the primary focus anymore. But crikey, you'd have to have thick skin watching all these beautiful plants having their heads chopped off! I had to give this giant scop a big hug before he was decapitatedA couple very nice Terscheckii x san pedro (it might actually be x scop though...kinda looks more scop)I had to put my foot down and make sure he didnt graft onto any of these. Thankfully he listened to me!Variegated scopulicola looking fantastic, check out those korus if you look side on in the first picSome group shotsThe man himself and that big scop's headMutant cornerBridgesii zoneBridgesii zone backing onto mutant cornerPeru area (on the other side of the bridgesii zone)Other side of the garden, this gets a bit more shade so was good for all the graftsSome of the days work - it was pretty luxurious really, i was spoilt for choice, grafting astros, arios, pelecyphora, copiapoa, umbelliana and he even entrusted me with the task of grafting his seed grown aztekuim ritterii His euphorbia collectionBack wall, and what became of the variegated scop Soo yeh! That was a nice day spent cactus-nerding out and now i cant wait to go out and visit next time to see how many of those grafts have taken off

bogfrog
I suppose its more like 4 - 4.5 years now, but its definately a pretty impressive haul for that amount of time!Sounds like he just got the go ahead to build another much larger greenhouse next to this one, so the conquest of the nz cactus scene is set to continue along this path of extravagance... Hmmm i wonder if he'll give me a job one day <___base_url___>/uploads/emoticons/default_tongue.png
BreakingBarrett
Wow, that is a stunning collection If I had that collection I'd probably talk cactus 24/7 too lol.
