sounds like a trip man!!! love fishing allot myself,... not that much into marflin,... I'd probably check with some locals to see if they want to take me out,...and go aout for mahi, wahoo & tuna. Not aware of how the locals fish over there,.... I grew up fishing with handlines, so I would love do that. more fun in my opinion,... have some lines burn through your skin.... wouldnt want a 50kg or larger marlin on a handline if it's your first time hahaha. handlines can be very dangerous. taking the woman fishing,... hahaha,.... have them take half a seasickness pill the night before they go to bed and a whole in the morning. also let them eat a light to normal breakfast. (avoid fatty stuff) I suspect the seas there to be pretty calm,... at least they look so in the surf movies of the popular breaks in Fiji check this out http://www.windguru....x.php?sc=208778 really calm in my opinion. Otherwise there is always the option to suprise your woman with a day of papmpering at the spa while you go fishing. Kava bars,....unfortunately can't help you with that. I am sure that dirty sock wash water is easy to find if you ask the fierce looking local with the pig bone through his nose! ;-)

I had a glimpse of that path once. Hope you can find a balance and continue growth,... and finally levitate,... I know it is possible. In theory I know how. Try it from the floor first hehehe

We all know what's coming,.... oil will become more spensive and it will some day dry up,... hopefully,.... if we are smart we will understand that we want to think long term and think / work towards a smooth transition to more sustainable ways of living. if you boil it all down to economics,.... many will be outside of the boat and some will be in it.

That is what I like about the German breads,... the rustic and the rye elements. Havent had many sourdough breads. We are usually limited in that dept over here. The dutchies gravetate into the rustic and heavily grained breads as well..

weirdest thing ever,.... I cant get on Facebook. I think my comp somehow blocks facebook. I get emails from people on yahoo of facebook responses and I cant open the emails in yahoo. I google facebook to see if I can get on the FB site,... it doesnt even open FB in google searches,... my google browser simply doesnt respond/ freezes. the only way I can get on FB is if I plug indirectly to the internet connection. but even then its ultra slow. So through wireless I get - Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage when I look up Cant get onFB on google it doesnt allow met to enter on FB. all other websites fine. I am thinkinng that I am getting blocked, because my housemates can get on FB. If I am getting blocked ........ then there are 2 suspects.

Sorry to hyjack the thread, butwouldnt it be cool if we made a pot and dumped some funds and send people off to collect interesting plants. example; have interested folks write and essay about what, why and how they would like to go about to collect. and a jury will make a selction based; the contribution for the SAB community, (not necesarily for the SAB community) or for the sponsor. Or could be just a prize for a person (lucky bastard) who has the best idea and just needs some backing. I can think of many directions this could go. An example; if I had the funds a few years back I might have wanted to go get the real Anadenanthera P. as my location to the source is not that far off. This could have helped to get rid of the uncertainties surrounding A. Peregrina getting mixed with A. Colubrina and other subtypes. If the serious collectors as a whole back then all made a small contribution I think it could have been worth it. Again this is just an example.

father side is a mix with mainly european roots (some italian and some other European genes, I cant remember and some local indiginous Arawak) - my father's side of the family has been in the Carib at least 250 years. mothers side is dutch/belgian (limburgish) My mother's her folks migrated a few years after ww2 to the Carib. Have a very slight tan and blue eyed. Think most people will recognize me as a European and possibly think that I am from the Mediterranean.

Cool to see that there are many here that speak or understand more then one language; I myself speak 4 fluently. Languages were never really my strong point believe it or not. 1st Dutch, 2nd English, 3rd Spanish, 4th a creole language. (The language is very specific to my location so will not name it) I also speak & understand German at a basic/decent level. Learned it in my late 20's. Mostly self taught and with help of 3 German speaking GF's who got the ball rolling. And yes I was on a roll in the German speaking woman sector :-) and because it is so close Dutch, it makes the transition easy. Just the grammar Und Das Artikel need a (GOOD)bit of tweaking. Never really dove into Afrikaans, but since it's more then 50% Dutch,... I'm sure It's not that difficult for me to understand or learn. From my mother's side her parents spoke Limburgish which is a strong dutch dialect that I understand very well, but never really spoke it. I grew up with it. Funny to see that even most people in Holland have trouble understanding it and look at me crazy when they notice that understood every word of it. Portuguese I can understand decently, but only speak a few words. I guess it's the same with Italian as they are so closely related to Spanish and the creole that I speak. I was thinking on taking on French,... or maybe not... lol,.... maybe better to think about building that fishing boat or putting my energy into something else.

Hehehe I have these urges to take things that look useful home. can be anything, even if I don't see a direct application for it. sometimes I end up using the stuff I find. Always look into building and demolishing sites waste containers for anything from building materials to things I can sell as scrap. Allot of the copper, brass and aluminum stuff I scrap comes from those containers. As i work in the harbour and know when service boats have gone outwith spare parts for ships, allot of the time they take the old stuff back with them and dump it in open containers. Have had many good finds. Save up scrap a few months and take it to the yard. Usually not more then 100 to 150$ but has always helped me to get through times when the cash flow is a bit low. I could do many other things that make much more cash in a shorter amount of time, but this is simply what I like doing. Sort of a hunter gatherer thing in the modern world I guess ;-) Besides that,... some plants and cacti. Cacti are my fav's especially favourble with me because I like the fact that they are drought hardy .... so that I can leave them a week or more without watering. Ohhh,... and foreign coins,.... And I collect millions in Euro's, USD, Yen and other hard currencies,...... right now I have 0,0000000001% of a million. Well on my way as you can see ;-)
