  1. I think the danger of exploring these fluid imaginary realms is that one looses grip of "reality", for if everything is so dynamic and the result of personal choices of perception then how can one tell which vision to believe as they had previously believed their limited scope of non mind-expanded awareness? It is the world leaders with their charisma and conviction that we unconsciously believe, for they are convinced of something where our personal visions only seem to disorientate (in the context of the fixed ordered world our leaders show us). For this reason I think it is important that alternative "leaders" or "prophets" have the same conviction in their rhetoric as our psychopathic politicians and business leaders do, for it is the assuredness of their words that gives one permission to explore "crazy" territory themselves. Of course if one only follows anothers' path they're not really exploring anything new, so the path must lead you to a clearing of "choose your own adventure" and it must provide you with the tools and knowledge needed to forge your own path. Everything is make believe anyway, so the ultimate truth isn't as important as the illusory (deluded) realities we create -for we cannot experience anything else. May as well (make)believe in ones own reality tunnel, at least that way you can modify it when necessary instead of relying on your "leaders" to change it for you.

Why did we lose our fur?

...I know that this whole discussion is about the assumption that we did evolve from primates, once everybody gets over that version of a genesis myth here's another, genetic modification.

    How to ban ethyl alcohol

@botanicalSEEKER, I found it to be quite an insightful garble. If you don't see it the same way, good for you, you don't need to be insulting... maybe you do, your loss. [edit] I heard that the past tense of "to hear" is actually spelled "heard", not "herd" -if not communicating clearly is what we're meant to be critical of. About that, if your reception is fuzzy try re-tuning your receiver first instead of just blaming the signal.
  4. Sometimes a graphical representation makes it easier to understand the absurd. Worth watching, quite funny.
  5. Really negative and cynical. I like it! Chorus works really well especially.

For everything a place and everything in its place. Bees are useful with their hierarchical subordination, maybe we could be too! I've always liked this song, I probably don't agree though.
  7. You know some big words, I'm guessing I know what theistic theophany may be, and I know that non-dual emptiness is a hard concept to grasp I'd say that the conclusion that all paths lead to Rome is one made by many of us, for in the transcendent state it seems there can be nothing beyond 'beyond-ness', the eternal void and the ephemeral forms it creates are integrally the same. It seems that that particular state is the universal oneness that we as questioning individuals dissolve into when the questioner becomes the question, so although different formalised beliefs may paint different pictures of their path there and what "there" is exactly, once any of us get there there is no point of differentiation to discuss being there, one can only discuss the path to get there in it's myriad forms. The worlds diversity is emanating from singularity, it is out of singularity that one creates multiplicity. Out of [n]one there are many, out of nothing there is everything. Ying/Yang, paradox, chaos theory, fractal realities, the holographic principle. It is through diversity that we catch a glimpse (or blinding light) of unity. Do we observe the continous or the discrete. The forest or the trees. ...Or non dual reality which is unexplainable as there is no counterpart to explain it to, nor do the explaining.

    NZ dimitri bust

Plant matter as carrier material can be charged as the weight of the drug itself(from memory) Who ever said our laws make sense? ...I wonder if that means a 1 litre of wine is equal to 1 litre of ethanol under the law, I've heard that one has serious health problems too! What are the limits on personal ethanol possession?

    How do you feel?

This whole album is how I'm feeling now; I've been listening to it last night and this morning, now these hypnotic melodies keep cycling through my mind. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HKcilfL2aFc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b3Pxh3hXc2A

Immortals tend to have different ethical values. Think of mythical gods and whatnot.. I guess they're all allegories so the function of the stories are more important than the ethics of the characters, still, transcending life and death the dynamics of Eros and thanatos on our behaviour simply would not exist. Perhaps with their advanced ethics in their perspective of immortality the genocide of millions may be akin to picking a flower off a plant.. it will regrow anyway. And here we go again on the relativism of ethics. Besides, who am I if not the experiences I've had and the connections I've made in my life, If I were to become as advanced as they I likely wouldn't even be able to relate to my own memories, them being so relatively primitive (like remembering childhood maybe) ... mmmm this is a good question, Is getting me thinking metaphorically, maybe these aliens are inter-dimensional obstetricians helping us through the birth canal into a new being beyond the womb of the matrix.

    Need advice on discriminatory attack

And why exactly does anyone feel uneasy not knowing the identity of someone walking across the street who they probably don't know or care about knowing anyway? People also get paranoid when other ethnicities talk in their language. That it's their language and that's how they talk doesn't factor into the equation, if they're talking in my vicinity and I don't understand them it must be about me... I'm paranoid so it's all about me! I don't know hardly any of the people I'm talking to here in person... maybe they're all out to get me, goddamn anonymity!

    Retrospective Legislation

Judging by SlyBacon's posts I doubt he's too trusting of the government. You don't need to be surprised to be outraged.

Meh... Ebay is about charging whatever you feel like knowing someone will think it's worth it. Probably better value for money then that pickled onion airship (a pickled onion on a pencil) somebody was selling on Ebay.

Who is profiting from "legal" incence blends

Oh for sure, the chemists spirit is instilled in their product; the spirit of a plant is instilled in their product too, I think that was the whole point that synthetic cannibinoids no longer carry the spirit of the plant regardless of similarity (even if you could synthetically create an exact replica of the cannibinoid profile of a certain strain, it will be derived without the plant spirits agency; it will be merely an imitation). Also, I'm a bit new to alchemy but it is my understanding that although they use chemistry and metallurgy (they also employ art and sculpture and architecture and potentially all other forms of expression), the transformation or distillation of the essence or seed of the material (being immaterial) is as much a metaphor for personal transformation or personal purification -from base metals to the magical luster of gold- as it is any kind of physical process; I think it is the union of this duality that alchemists strive for, where spiritual matters are transformed via material means and where spiritual means have an affect on matter.

Ok, who wants to chip in for permit and shipping costs?

Old collection is looking for new homes

Who would want to get rid of all that? Couldn't he make money selling individual cuttings over the years? I mean that's a nice investment, to have them destroyed is a tragedy!
