  1. Just got around to sowing mine today. I gave some seeds away to another worthy dude as well who missed out. Can't wait to see what they turn into! I'm propagating peres like mad to do plenty of grafts, but I'll be leaving lots on their own roots.
  2. You have some really nice lophs wert. That first one is a monster.
  3. Man, I used to love going to see those guys. Some of the best nights ever.
  4. I like to ask them if they're wearing sexy underwear. Or even better, if they're wearing any at all...
  5. Yeah I guess you'd need a ton of leaves to get sick anyway. Thanks for the offer miss meander, but I'm plum outta space and have nowhere to plant them.
  6. I thought you needed to be a little bit careful of cyanogenic glycosides in fresh edulis leaves but I could be wrong. Maybe the hot water processing into tea drives them off somewhat?
  7. Bugger. I was planning a long road trip next year and fields was high up the list of "must visit" places. In a few years oliveton will be the new fields...
  8. Small specimens like those may not flower, which makes it hard. The ones in my yard are about 2m tall and no sign of flowers this year. But in the bush below my house it's yellow fever!
  9. Flux, not sure where you're at, but obtusifolia should be starting to flower right now. If you're seeing flower formation you'd be on the money.
  10. True, and when I can decipher the handwriting I'll be doing that!
  11. Not mine, but I'm posting it anyway. This is in a local BG's cacti greenhouse.
  12. I've got a bunch of ib's hybrid yearlings, the macrogonus x scopulicola is by far the fastest and chunkiest of the varieties so far. So fat.
  13. That one does look pretty funky, but I'm no expert on witches broom.
  14. Sagi, I grew up with guns in my bedroom and I'm probably one of the strongest anti-guns people you'd meet. But I was taught about how to respect guns, and the first lesson I ever learned was that you never ever point a gun at anyone. My dad's side of the family preferred their hands for setting disputes.
  15. I believe Colombia and some other central American countries have the highest murder rates, but personally I'd prolly rather be in central America than the middle east.
  16. Also, gigantic respect to zelly who is obviously doing loads of unpaid and upraised work here too. I hope I have the chance to visit your garden one day zelly.
  17. Well, I'd better get mine rebagged! I took the bags off on the weekend because they looked like they were pretty well established and I didn't want any damping off to happen in this warm weather.
  18. Man, I received a letter from nitrogen with some of the legendary seeds today too, I am truly humbled by the generosity, and I feel honoured. There still exists a sense of community even in this fcked up world. I can imagine what this has cost you in postage. A living legend.
  19. Slightly off topic anecdote alert: A few years ago some smackheads tried a home invasion on my elderly dad, who was silly enough to open the front door at 3am. They hit him over the head with a bar of some kind, but they chose the wrong ex sawmiller to play with. He picked one of them up and threw him headfirst down a flight of stairs, the other one ran for his life. When the cops came it was pretty much high fives all round, there was no suggestion that my dad might be in any trouble resulting from his actions, but I guess they were "country cops". Now my dad's neighbours stand well back after knocking on the door!
  20. The pups don't look too freaky, it might have just been treated with BAP.
