Well I may not have the awesome larger animals but I love all my tiny critters just the same. Still getting plenty of mileage out of this frog. I didn't even know he was in my first couple shots.

i got reasonable big trees in my garden, and they attract a lot of birds. pic shows a pheasant bird, hideing underneath a ephedra major, this bird always runs from hiding place to hiding place, funny to watch. nice thread!

Here's one I'm proud of. I always wanted to attract these fellas into the garden, and just 2 nights ago I finally found one. I reckon this one has found a little home under the aloeveras and Epiphyllums. So happy!

It's complicated. The heroin enthusiasts who hang out in the park on my street and jeer at and verbally abuse pretty much everyone who passes by? No, fuck those guys, they're jerks. They're old and bitter and just seem to want to hurt anything that gets near. The heroin enthusiasts who offered their bupe to me when I was in bad pain after discount surgery? Hell yes, they're good people and I try to help them them out anytime I can. I grew up with an addict brother and that bit in 'Just One Fix' by Ministry where Burroughs drones 'Never trust a junkyyyy' was my life motto. I've come round since then because I really think anyone can mess up a bit and end up with a substance abuse problem. Acting like it's the end of the world and you're now permanently a fucking pariah doesn't seem to help anyone, or society as far as I can see. I have trusted 'junkies' and my life is better for it. People are people, you don't stop being a person just because you messed up and got into some bad patterns.

became a moss boss .. ...trial ran a possible next "virola nut tek" on some random psychotria i think in the meantime just to stay in good practice and high spirits.. tried introducing some new nature into the RFB along with the mosses.. had 3 caupuri sprouts on the 'old toad/Tlalocan'.. found a nice little caapi leaf cutting doing a viridis on me in the paqarena (aeropod)... and a nice successful viridis leaf cutting in there too..

TCM#1 / kada's garden / looks like Smiths "short spined peruvianus" (wrong name), and propably CCC and altmans clone too. ^^^^^^ my most prized specimen. I expect it to flower at some point soon, and I assure you I designed it to be so beautiful - and well maybe I was a bit lucky since the column hasn't yet terminated, currently it is reverting to monstrosa growth a period when column growth speed reduces dramatically . ^^^^^^^ new surprisingly long spines in older growth (well not surprisingly, its a pachanoi, no?) in another specimen. main column has terminated. one of the pups seems to have pupped - not sure why, but propably not damage. PS: ALL TPM#1 's I am showing in this thread come from a single clone (kada's garden,)

I got lucky again this morning. I was taking pics of a blue ginger flower when along comes this HUGE native Bee, right in front of the lens. Turns out it's called a Teddy-Bear bee. He posed for a couple quick shots and then got really pissed off with me moving in on his territory. He seemed to really like these flowers a lot, they are not native but we do have closely related native plants such as Pollia macrophylla and Murdannia graminea, so I guess they are playing a positive role. It's certainly the first time I've ever seen one of these Teddy-Bear bees in our garden, so I'm super chuffed about it
