☽Ţ ҉ĥϋηϠ₡яღ☯ॐ€ðяئॐ♡Pϟiℓℴϟℴ Posted April 4, 2014 (edited) postman pat brought me some fly screen and a foot long fat pedro from a super german seller , even came with a free baby one that is bigger than the baby ones sold here also he brought me a skinny foot long sausage pedro which was... from the pics, ...the one my son wanted but he preferred the good one lol. .... so thats him happy with a nice first largeish tricho to care for and learn with anyway and add to his personal collection -later edit- the thin saugage shit, however.., since rotted and died so was disposed of , perhaps some of it will survive and grow outside? -so there are some crap cacti sellers in Germany afterall !, and to think I thanked them in advance after being elated with German cacti growers.. Optimystic Posted April 5, 2014 (edited) Yesterday I jumped on the Altmans T Poco Bandwagon.. at least they were labeled as such. The one on the right looks like a Terscheckii I think.... the other plant wasn't Altmans and wasn't labeled but I think it maybe a Melocactus Azureus about to grow a cephalium... I couldn't resist... I thought the bag was corny at first but later I grew to appreciate it. I don't usually do wally marts... The stop was completely inspired by the T. Poco posts and a circumstantial drive through the boonies.. I went to some other stores and only the wally marts had the Pocos... ☽Ţ ҉ĥϋηϠ₡яღ☯ॐ€ðяئॐ♡Pϟiℓℴϟℴ Posted April 8, 2014 (edited) Today my large vmff (v m'fkn fat-not varigated) flowering knuthianus-looking plant, which takes the lead for the fattest 'bridgesii' I ever saw in the flesh..so i potted it up, the spines lower down even remind me of validus a little with their almost parallel downward spines... My large flowering pachanoi cutting arrived too and i just balanced that in the knuther vandross pot till I can be arsed to pot it up in perlite with a layer of stones for stability. opened all the windows of the sun room after last nights mighty wash -precautionary blastages too. ☽Ţ ҉ĥϋηϠ₡яღ☯ॐ€ðяئॐ♡Pϟiℓℴϟℴ Posted April 12, 2014 they do don't they, well i dont know why they don't look anything like any of my other bridgesii but then the others are somewhat smaller and most are very much younger , and after i become a non- noob maybe I'll agree more for now, the tips upon close examination - to me look like all the macrogonus I've seen in pictures before but you're not the only one to say they look like bridgesii they are very blue if thats anything to go by? and they were labelled and sold/bought as macrogonus. how do you identify a macrogonus? or is there already a thread on it? hostilis Posted April 13, 2014 I pulled out these plants. An L. alberto-vojtechii loc. neuvo leon and A. caput-medusae to graft and I found a pleasant surprise. Some very nice tap root developement. The L. alberto was sowed in november 2013. It grows super slow, but the tap root is almost as big as the plant itself which is nice. L. alberto-vojtechii seedlings. Very slow growing. Nice tap root. It's forming some new buds so I thought I'd take some snaps to share with you I believe it is a Zygocactus.
