OTC codeine to become schedule 3

The rescheduled analgesics will contain up to 12mg codeine per tablet, for a total dose of 24mg. Therapeutic Guidelines recommends that 25-30 mg codeine is required for effective pain relief.4 And up to 10% of patients will have no response at all due to their inability to metabolise codeine to morphine. I remember when panadeines were 8mg per tablet, so total dose from 2 tablets 16mg. If 25-30mg is required for effective pain relief than their pain killing effects were likely just placebo other than from paracetamol. Suppose the same is true of today's 20mg per dose too. (I just realised they're talking about codeine, not codeine phosphate, so even today's panadeines are placebo.Only the panadeine-15-extra has theraputic pain relief

    nitrous bulbs and dispensers

All the IGA's used to have them, even all woolworths used to. I know woolies stopped stocking them ages ago but I was saddened to visit my local IGA and when requesting them, the girl just looked at me with a blank face. She got the manager, and I was presented with a large sodastream co2 bulb. Glad to hear it doesn't seem to be corporation policy not to stock them though. Must be up to individual shops. I know you can get them from franchised 24 hour convenience stores, but they're priced as drugs, not food accesories. Just can't bring myself to buy from those theives.

    SE Asia

Just be warey of Thai police. Being corrupt is a way of life for them. They always side with local thai scammers. You rent a motorbike, jetski, etc. Guy tells you, you've damaged their property(which you haavent'), demands an insane amount of money. You tell them to go to hell, police are called, and they just agree with conman. you have to pay whatever conman wants. You usually end up at police station. bartering ensures, and you get ripped for a lesser amount, but still too much considering you didn't damage anything. Conman and police split money and you go away poorer. Supposedly calling your country's embassy can scare scammer and cop off, but if you push too far you might end up with a charge and a jail cell. There's also the infamous anti littering laws that only apply to tourists. Littering includes stubbing out a cigarette butt in the gutter. Friend got fined when the iceblock he was eating fell of the stick onto some stairs . Fine 2000baht & goes straight into policeman's pocket. Police actually follow tourists around waiting for them to stub out cigarette. What makes this anti litter law so ludicrous is the state of footpaths, the lack of bins, and all the litter thrown on the ground by the locals.

    drying mushrooms

In my limited experience you need to dry any mushrooms that's been growing on shit very fast as they are likely to contain fly eggs that hatch into maggots which turn your mushrooms into liquidy disgustingness and can't be used. Because of this you can't let them dry naturally or with a dessicant as you'll have a horror show in your cupboard/container when you check on them a couple of days later. Need to dry them as soon as possible and in the process kill the eggs and the emerging larvae. this involves heat. You could even use a fan heater on low if you don't have a dehydrator. It's the opinion of some that using excessive heat to dry as quickly as possible doesn't make much difference to product if used quickly but for mid to long storage the 40c deydrator sounds like the way to go. If you've never had a problem with maggots in your part of the world then no need to dry as soon as possible and you can avoid excessive or any heat.

    Recommended VPNs

A lot of the nerds on whirlpool.net.au are recommending http://www.strongvpn.com/ Seems like good rates on a yearly basis. but I can't see anything about bandwidth use. Example my isp quota is 120gig a month. I have no idea if I can actually route that through a VPN per month or not. Maybe someone else knows.

    Internet Censorship Trials

I think it's interesting that the government plan to implement the filter just before the next election. It's as if they have no idea how unpopular this filter is. They actually think the filter will help them win the election. It's just crazy

    Cannabis Law Reform

Everyone looks to america, and their increasingly more liberal stance to marijuana. Well various states in USA anyway. But in Europe the opposite seems to be happening. They are seeing marijuana as a more damaging drug than they had the in the past. The Netherlands and the UK are 2 examples. Netherland regional councils attempting to outlaw marijuana holidays and closing marijuana coffee houses. The UK Downgraded marijuana in 2004 to class C (first personal possession offence a formal warning), then rescheduled it to class B last year.
  8. These went on sale in Kmart and Coles about a month ago for $39. They are a very nice self defence torch with a good LED that gives twice the battery performance of a regular bulb. I bought one last week from Coles. My local Kmart had no stock, nor did it appear were getting any more in.

Best way to make a Lava Lamp?

I wanted to do this a few years ago, but never got around to it. You need Benzyl alcohol for the blob, and salt water for the solution. You colour the alcohol with a permanent marker like a niko pen dipped into the solution. supposedly you can use food colouring for the salt water and the blob colour and salt water colour wont' mix (I don't know about that) I never knew where to get benzyl alcohol from. so never started on it There's lots of pages on the net about lava lamps of this design. If you find a better method post back here some time.

    Mardigrass This Weekend!

Noticed 2 interesting videos from someone that's probably a member here on the Nimbin 2009 Mardi Grass. Police out in large numbers in Nimbin. And a in car view of a random drug test on the way out of nimbin. Annoys me how the police demand he turns the camera off, with the suggestion that he's not allowed to film them without prior permission when we've seen cameramen with police on these commercial tv shows a million times filming the public without their permission. Double standards.

    No opt-out web filtering

I think that might be true. There are some obvious honeypot trap websites in that list. I'd imagine if you even looked at the frontt page you'd be dawn raided sometime in the future. I can't see why the government would ban sites that interpol/fbi/AFP are monitoring, hoping for people including Australians to view/download & be arrested. An interesting site on that list is the Australian 'lesbian' porn site Abby Winters. If it really contained illegal content why wouldn't the Australian police act, and close down the site by arresting those that run the site. Think the content is made and operated from Victoria or NSW

    The New Anti-Semitism

i'm sick to death of whining jews and anti semitism. The holocaust of the Chinese in WW2 at the hands of the Japanese is on the Par with the Jews, but I don't see them wheeling out Stream trains with Cattle cars to 'celebrate' the 50th anniversary of their holocaust or the 10 feature films a year portraying their holocaust victims. Such constant propaganda of the jew as the victim sickens me when they have it so good today and perpetrating their own holocaust of neighbouring arab nations. It projects to me a sinister manipulative people with a constant agenda. They first got on my goat with their ridiculous bullshit about David Icke and their attempt to ban him from countries and cities, & blackmailing venues into cancelling shows because in their paranoid freak minds when David Icke mentions the evil lizard aliens that secretly run the world, HE ACTUALLY MEANS JEWS...& everyone that see's david Icke's shows are ANTI-SEMITES!!!! Oh go fuck yourselves.

    we should legalise euthanasia

I think nitschke is a creepy profiteer of death and sorrow. The way when you go to his website, you get a couple of sample pages to read, and then some advertising spiel about why you should give him $75 US dollars (AU dollars don't make the grade) to download some web version of the book Why on earth is he charging dying people for it. Some sort of donation might be fair enough but to hard sell it with FREE TOUR PAGES just like a porn site is really tacky stuff... However, that video that was released for his site of the woman who made a plea for a euthanasia drug because of her fears of a terrifying humiliating death (choking on her own faeces) and then her dying a terrifying humiliating death just as she feared was a brilliant pro-euthanasia video which may not have been seen without nitschke & his pay per view website. And due to his organisation it was also all over the media launching many a debate. So for that, he certainly did well.

    Brugmansia Beauties

Hi, could someone recommend a nice fast growing attractive and scented brug for south east Qld. ,, that's high temps and humidity in summer, mild winters. I've not had a brug, I'd like a success for my first. I grow roses, and cacti, the high tem/humid really takes their toll on flowers, so if there is a brug that can flower for a long time without looking like crap that would be a plus. Also I asked this before, but it was around xmas, and possibly not seen. Any brisbane people know if BNE nurseries or supermarkets sell brugs, or are they maybe listed as a weed so not legal for sale.
  16. When on mushrooms, to detect when or if anything was happening, I'd stare at the clouds in the sky. The aim was to make the clouds disappear. I could recognise the onset when I could make clouds disppear. This may not be mind control. and maybe clouds disappear for everyone weather you're wanting it or not if you stare at them long enough.

    stilnox, the new crazy glue

friend was taking stilnox, he ended up in his underpants at the westfield shopping centre a few streets away talking to someone on a public phone who very probably didn't' exist. Police found him, ccouldn't make any sense out of what he was saying and assumed he was a psych patient who had walked out of the psych hospital in the next suburb, so that's where the police took him. Had no memories of events. Don't know if it was stilnox or stilnox & alcohol.

    No opt-out web filtering

As mentioned a few posts above. In a worst case scenario , you'd have to pay about $15 extra a month for an overseas VPN. Then all your data is encrypted and routed through an overseas server. The downside is the extra cost, and surely the data will flow a lot slower. Example i'm on a 20mbit ADSL2+ connection, frequenly can download torrent files at 12mbit/s, if everything was routing through a VPN then my download speed would be dependant on the bandwidth of the overseas server, and any congestion on that route.

12 overdose at Melbourne dance party

I'd imagine in a nightclub scneario it's sold as a dose or doses. A dose of variable concentration which no amount of weighing or liquid measurement would help you know the correct dose, not that anyone is going to have gram scales or ml measures. It's not something that should be dealed per dose. It comes down to having trust in a dumb guy who's selling GHB,. You shouldn't trust a dumb guy with your health.

12 overdose at Melbourne dance party

In my experience alcohol has ABSOLUTY NO EFFECT on GHB and potency, but rather a combination of food PLUS alcohol will cause vomiting, & also because the food slows down the absorption so the person may take another dose believing the first to be ineffective, the double dose hits and they'll be unconscious and often puking. I don't think alcohol has any bearing what soever, back when it was legal I used to love doing GHB with alcohol because it helped the sensation become full body. It's just not a drug that should be drug dealed, as it's never a uniform standardised dosage & if you did decide it was a smart idea to deal it you're very probably a dumb guy and not dealing the correct dose, and the other problem is food in the stomach has a huge bearing on wheather the drug will be absorbed or wheather the person will become nauseous and vomit. I think it's a drug people should buy by the 50ml, always take on an empty stomach, and test at home how many drops they should take What I noticed is that 3-4 drops was always a 'fun' amount, while 5 drops was borderline unconscious, and 6 drops was sleep. Alcohol didn't seem to make any differnece. Food in the stomach was the great evil. Just think of GHB as an anaesthetic. The reason you aren't allowed to eat the day of an operation is to stop you puking when given a general anaesthesia. GHB should never be dealed as a single dose as you must put too must trust in a dumb drug dealer, who's never going mention about not taking with food in your stomach.

    Brugmansia Beauties

I live in a subtropic region. So if I were to plant a seed or get a small potplant, it's prob not going to be flowering until next spring? (i'm in Australi) My favourite brugs are Sanguineas, but don't want to be waiting 2 years, and just trying to recall what I've read, I don't think they like hot humid climates, so I'm going to have to settle for a less pretty variety.

Hi, Could someone tell me how long it takes for a brug to flower? Say if I planted it from seed today, or maybe got a small pot plant? Also is it worth checking out some nurseries for brugs (in qld) or are they classified as weeds so nurseries don't stock?

    Painkillers killing me...

That is frightening, but it's something you should have never let happen. I started on 0.5mg 10 years ago, and still on 0.5mg (1- 4 times a day). It just takes self disipline. My motivation for having such discipline is knowing what would occur if I kept on increasing the dose, such information that you also surely knew, but chose to ignore. The thought of forgetting my xanax or just not being able to get a script for 2 days because of a weekend etc, and seizuring or having reverse SUPER anxiety was enough to make sure I never became physically addicted. I also wonder if people's brains are wired differently, and for some to obtain anti anxiety comfort they require sedation. Sedation is very rapidly lost with xanax, however it's anti axiety effects are still very active. If a person was to associate feeling relaxed with sedation then I can imagine a person constantly up;ing their dose, in a belief they needed to do so. Your story is more positive motivation to keep a control for everyone.

    Goji berry at bunnings

In Qld, they're technically illegal if they contain mescaline and cant' be sold or possessed. If you were raided by police for some ethno drug reason you'd get done, but otherwise nobody is going to know, I'd imagine.
