Ah man if only I could nick that whole generator + sound system + visual mixer and projector setup from that crazy New Years Eve Doof and fit that all on a plane... ...I also like to dream. hmm... Not much room for big things like gas cookers and tables to fly over with. I'm sure if everyone brings what they need for themselves at least then we'll be alright. It'd be Extra great if people could bring all the other little things though - if driving.

apothecary Posted January 10, 2006 I'm a city boy Andy What's "wet weather gear"? I don't even have an umbrella lol. Related questions, are there undercover areas(?), are there any areas we can camp that aren't prone to flooding, I saw the end result of flooding in a campsite when I was up at Byron and it wasn't pretty
incognito Posted January 10, 2006 im definately going to be there for the weekend!! looking very much forward to it!
gomaos Posted January 11, 2006 ummmhhh/.... how about posting the details on how to get there now? (unless they are posted already and i overlooked them?)
mescalito Posted January 11, 2006 Hey there Gom I think Andy's going to pm the exact details to those going so we don't get any unexpected visitors I've been busting my arse to get organised but my plan was to have a car ready and it aint I'd have to go countrylink and my best option is obviously to not have to stay overnight anywhere along the way so I've found a line that leaves at ~2am from here connects to the XPT and gets to byron at ~8pm the same day which isn't a prob for me but It wouldn't be prolly until sunday or monday and I'm restricted with luggage. IF I did pull it off would anyone come out and pick me up from Byron station? Thing is I'll prolly have my car engineered and rego'd in just a few more weeks which I'd have preferred to drive up there in plus I could carry more gear so I's a bit frustrated Aaaargghh
apothecary Posted January 11, 2006 When I was up at Byron, the station was closed.
ramon Posted January 11, 2006 Hve the BSB number and the account names but need to know which bank to deposit into
AndyAmine. Posted January 11, 2006 Mesc, yes, someone will come pick you up from whereever you arrive.. I think the best bet would be to catch the train to Casino then the bus to murwillumbah, thats what Amulte is doing. Ramon, its the commonwealth bank
mescalito Posted January 11, 2006 Countrylink goes to either m'bah or byron via casino or grafton respectively depending which route I choose unless the info on countrylinks website is wrong.I'll call them tomorrow to confirm also I'm not sure if my free trips are counted in changeovers or destination so will confirm this also. I think I'm pushing shit uphill to make it though, I have to be in Bowral on the 20th which would only give me a couple of days at the site
planthelper Posted January 12, 2006 ramon, can you please pick me (and maybe somebody else aswell) up from gom's place...
Amulte Posted January 12, 2006 Mescalito - call them buddy. cuz im a pensioner i travel for free and only found out cuz i rang them, ya never know what youll find out. their online thing is a bit rigged. only use it for a guesstimate on times but call em to book on 13 22 32. let me know your times when you know. im heading up tomorrow morn Also dude i havnt forgotten
ramon Posted January 12, 2006 Ramon, its the commonwealth bank Guess that was a joke as I was unable to deposit to that BSB and account number at the Commenwealth bank
ramon Posted January 12, 2006 Planthelper as it has been five days since I made the offer and I hadn't heard from you I assumed you where going down with gomaos. I found out at work today that the fellow who agreed to do a change of shift with me has changed his mind. which means that I don't finish work until 11pm Saturday. I was going to pike out of the camping trip as a consequence. But if you are stuck for a lift down we can go on Sunday morning
Torsten Posted January 12, 2006 LOL, how much more disorganised can this get?? This much chaos might be fun - if anyone actually makes it there.....
ramon Posted January 12, 2006 This much chaos might be fun - Now that is optimism. Today has been full of unpleasant suprises 1st finding out couldn't deposit as planned 2nd couldn't get off work as planned. This was ameliorated to a degree by the decision to pike out then I get home and find that some one is counting on me. Although two wines later and this post and find that eager to go down on the Sunday if that works with Planthelper
-YT- Posted January 12, 2006 This much chaos might be fun - if anyone actually makes it there..... Choas theory at its finest. Hope everyone makes it up safely, and I should see all you fellas Tuesday arvo if all goes smoothly.
Torsten Posted January 12, 2006 Ramon - juggling responsibilities can be a problem (and we can't really help you with that), but as far as the deposit is concerned, honestly, if the organisers don't provide the right details then that's pretty weak and really their problem and not yours. I can tell you though, that if I had made the trip to the bank that one organiser provided wrongly (after your request), I would not be as composed as your post was. As a joke that simply wasn't funny. Anyway, wasn't the account provided a regional credit union account that you would not have been able to make branch deposits into anyway? ramon Posted January 12, 2006 Anyway, wasn't the account provided a regional credit union account that you would not have been able to make branch deposits into anyway? It was suggested to me by the commonwealth bank that the BSB looked like a credit union acount. I figured it was a joke because I asked "Which bank?" just like the ads. Anyway, no longer feel compelled by responsibilty but hope that planthelper is OK with going down on Sunday morning. I only have Sunday off but will allow for the possibility of taking a sickie on Monday.
