Looking for cool shirts

Recommended Posts

I'm looking to print black shirts with the molecular representation of chemicals like psilocybin, dmt, lsd, and so on in white (like http://www.elx.com.au/images/products/full...ffeine-rgb.jpg)

I have quotes and everything, just waiting for some money to get it off the ground.

How's this going?

I've seen such shirts and been tempted to get one - the thing is they all have the molecule then the chem. name underneath, and I just want the molecule.

I need new clothes so bad..

Hello everybody... My name is Joel and I'm from a company called ALICE DEE DESIGNS...

Firstly please let me thank Ajna, Dom and Alice Dee for the support with the t-shirts, I'm the designer of the AYAHUASCA t-shirt and those molecule shirts that have got the chemical name and molecule image on them....

I know that a few of you found my website a bit dodgy and for that I apologise, I decided to try and save myself some much needed cash and build the intire thing while trying to learn to how to at the same time,

Sorry for any hassle that you might have had to go through to buy anything....

Like I said, I am learning, so I'm updating the site all the time, please keep checking for more designs and stuff...

I've just finished building my PAYPAL purchase pages so we'll be accepting credit card payments by the end of the week...

AND PLEASE....

if anyone has any advice on how to make it better for everyone I love the feedback...

AGAIN THANK YOU ALL FOR THE SUPPORT AND HOPE YOU STICK AROUND TO WATCH US GROW...

P.S. can also offer any screenprinting advice needed... I print all our shirts by hand...

Chat Soon

PEACE

Joel

Well as I was saying, I'm olny just starting out too but will do what I can to help...

As you guys were talking about in you earlier posts, the cost of screen development is the real killer but I hoping to start doing it myself... at the moment we're paying about $55-$65 for the secondhand screen, stripping, developing and artwork (not the design, the special "ruby" artwork for the screen)... but that's per screen, and each color of the print needs it's own screen...

I've been talking to a few friends and think I have the whole thing pretty worked out, it might just take me a few more trys to get it perfect but I'm on my way...

With the t-shirt cost cost added, you're probably looking at around $17-18 printed... but once you have the screen you keep it and can do as many prints as you want, on anything you want, it's quite cool...

You do need a screenprinting carousal to do more than one color prints though...

Once I can develop my own screens I might be looking at branching out to other peoples designs

BUT

we can definately talk about it if the order is right...

RE the chemical T shirts, I reckon the ones from the Hefter Institute are cool and sufficiently ambiguous.. and the cash goes to a good cause. The address is: http://www.cafepress.com/heffter

I am also interested in hoodies (fcking queensland winters...). MAPS has a good one. Any leads appreciated.

Just as an aside, its interesting that T-shirts have become meaningless. I remember in the 80's, wearing sufficiently obscure punk band T=shirts was cool, but I stopped wearing them because I got sick of just being someone elses free advertising, and also the idea that I had to use brands (even from bands) to idenitify myself.

Now though its interesting because T-shirts have become even more meaningless.. I mean people wear Dickies T-shirts without realising that they were a seminal New York punk band from the seventies (who did great songs like "You drive me ape, you big gorilla!"). Walter Benjamin said it was gonna happen and it did - we are saturated by images, and the more there are, the less they mean. Marshall McLuhan would have been proud (the medium is the message)...

That said, hey, I am up for a chemical T shirt that I dont really know what it means (Shulgin's dirty pictures...)

Oh yeah, someone mentioned "3rd dimensional" in Adelaide - I got the opportunity to hang out with the guy from the shop at EGA - he was a dude, really nice guy (Micky? Mikey?) (and a mad pixie during the Dance of 500 Mushrooms!), but I forgot to get his details... anyone know if the shop has a website?

Aren't there places where you can give them a file and get a (ie. not a run of) shirt with the picture printed on. I thought some printing places do that kind of stuff. Does anyone know? If so, would you know what quality + price is involved?

Sikkemrex.. I mean people wear Dickies T-shirts without realising that they were a seminal New York punk band from the seventies (who did great songs like "You drive me ape, you big gorilla!").

I think the Dickies tees you see around these days are the workwear brand not the band!

I quite like this site's designs but they're in France. Has anyone got one? They're a heat pressed flex and they say the fluoro flex only comes in 5 colours but some of the designs look more muted colour-wise than the basic colours so I'm not to sure what's going on there. c-fluodelik Try choosing just one!

greetingz all......

we are printing some clothes at the moment, which should be ready and online within a week or two.

we will have t-shirts, long sleeve t-shirts, hoodies and pixie hooded vests, in males and females and in many colours.

everything we create is trance and plant inspired art ;)

our website has just been updated with artwork too if anyone would like to have a look, some of which is for sale, but no prices are up yet as we are still trying to get everything organized :)

I just realised that link does work! musta just been me ey :P

Wandjina that sounds really good! I personally, would pay $25 for a shirt, but if it was a really good design and on quality material that would last i would be happy to pay more, perhaps up to $40. It would have to be a bloody good shirt tho! LOL

Id love to have a shirt that says something like 'Bridgesii baby!"

hmmmm i guess that would have to be 'lageniformis baby!', doesnt quite have the ring to it does it! :P

For those in Sydney, I remember seeing a permanent-stand in Broadway shopping centre (Glebe) that looked to do some decent customised shirts. As I avoid these kind of centres like the plague, I haven't been there for a while, but locals might want to pop in and have a look around. From memory it looked like images on latex applied to the shirt, which would mean no problems with fading as quickly as dyes on fabric.

Hey Wandjina, if you want to experiment, I'm happy to pony up for a few bucks (or work with you) for a very funny T-Shirt that I would like to wear when I meet my good friend at the airport in late Jan 07. Basically a dodgy "Che" shirt (oh how droll) with some personalised words printed/painted.

You're in Sydney, yes ? SHould I overcome my shyness and suggest a casual hookup in a QUIET pub (or beer garden) to discuss this T-shirt concept I have ?
