EthnoGuy85 Posted June 11, 2014 @ spinygator found these at my local lowes today. Are these "huancoensis" or do we need to throw some other random cultivar name at it? Maybe this is the elusive 'millipede'........
hostilis Posted June 11, 2014 Dude. My local lowes and home depot have those same exact plants. Lol. Big huasca crests, echinocactus, and PC pachs. Also crested lobvias and big kalanchoe.

magical9 Posted June 24, 2014 It looks like someone "else" is trying to sell the same "Huanucoensis" type plant for an absurd amount of money on ebay again http://www.ebay.com/itm/10-5-San-Pedro-Rooted-Cactus-Trichocereus-Pachanoi-with-8-Ribs-RARE-/261510723727?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3ce340f88f 175$! LOL makes me wonder if its the same person...
djmattz0r Posted June 24, 2014 (edited) 8 RIBS OMG I don't know why people try to sell high rib count cuttings for so much... I once bought a bunch of pachanoi cuttings and 2 of them had 8 ribs, guess I got a good deal [edit] everything being sold by that person is pretty outrageously overpriced Edited June 24, 2014 by djmattz0r
zed240 Posted June 25, 2014 Hahaha! I love that he has an opuntia that he's listed as "RARE Disney Mickey Mouse Head Shape Rooted Cactus OPUNTIA VIOLACEA" for $75 !!!!! I guess if someone is dumb enough to think it won't grow and look completely different anyway maybe they deserve to be liberated from the burden of their wealth. And if an 8 ribbed Pachanoi is worth even half that much I reckon I could almost retire. It's not like 8 ribs is rare or uncommon! Show me a long 4 ribbed pachanoi that hasn't reverted to other rib counts and I'd be SLIGHTLY impressed but that's about it in regard to pach ribs....
Philocacti Posted June 25, 2014 This ain't long, nor is it a true pachanoi, it's a SS02xPachanoi It's rib shifting all the time with every new grown areol, however it kept its 4 ribs for 3 weeks now..... don't know how it will look like next though
hostilis Posted June 25, 2014 Lol! Disney Mickey Mouse shaped opuntia RARE!!! That person photoshops the hell out of their photos as well. You can tell by looking at them. Spice up the name, doc the photo up a bit, overprice the fucking shit out of the plants... profit.

Philocacti Posted June 25, 2014 I really don't know? It's growing in all my pots and the buds just stick to my cloths all the time. I can take a closer shot if that will help you ID it.
magical9 Posted June 25, 2014 ah if you didnt purposefully plant it then its unlikely to be phalaris grass.
hostilis Posted June 25, 2014 Phalaris is actually extremely common in some places. P. aquatica grows everywhere here where I live.
