It is isnt it, famous plant. I just hope mocheal has some state side so he may supply me sith a cutting. :) how else would I get one. Dont make me ride my harley down there

I got some cacti one time from europe. It came in a lil box with , maybe u could send me a lil one once u get home. Ill pay for shipping. Then maybe I fould send u a long spined pachanoi afterwards when it gets up to size :)

So slice, I take that last post to mean you have made it home. Did all of your botanical samples arrive safely? And how may different locals did you manage to collect from? Reading back through the thread I count 3, Cajabamba, Chavin, and Huaraz.

Sounds like you had an amazing trip and were able to collect some really cool souvenirs, definitely a bit jealous.

I also think it is really neat that you located, photographed and collected from a specific specimen that has been previously documented in a number of ways and is sort of "famous."

It looks like it is growing good in that rock pile,maybe that's what allowed it to grow so tall.

Maybe someone planted it there like a tribute to the ruins!

I love pedros. :) cant wait to see em amigo. I have quite a few pedros that I collect myself. Non pc of course.

I imagine that some of the trunks in the middle of that giant mass of stems are enormous. Probably up to like 3 feet wide. Hehe.
