mushroomman Posted December 14, 2013 Yeah I'll be taking it off now all the other crosses I did failed. Just didn't have anything else to tie the tag on with at the time Can someone please tell me how long trich fruits take to develop? Been searching online but haven't found anything about it. Micromegas Posted December 14, 2013 Mine have taken from early Dec - late March to be good for harvesting, without yet splitting. It's pretty weather dependent. If it rains they will mature, swell and split faster. I'd say anywhere from 6-12 weeks depending on your plant type and growing conditons. Schickendanzii for example maybe only 4-6 weeks. 6 would be fast for a tall columnar tricho , 12 would be quite slow. 8-10 weeks average for me from memory for plants in the ground no water no ferts.

Nemisty Posted December 22, 2013 It comes from here http://cacti.co.nz/index.php/libray/t/category/996-trichocereus-peruvianus In a nut shell it came from a misplaced knize seed. You'll have to emmigrate to NZ if you want a cutting. Flowers are very rare also.
