mescalito Posted April 3, 2011 (edited) My mate simondontanna is thinking of building something similar, panels are all the same size as each other...a self supporting structure based on simple geometry. http://www.swanzart....llness_dome.php Edited April 3, 2011 by mescalito

mescalito Posted April 4, 2011 (edited) Not sure, she'd be worth a bit,but as you could well imagine it would definitely pay for itself over time....how long? Hard to say. It's not a bad schematic tho to work around using Polymer sheets and your imagination After all,the pieces are all the same size and shape,so you could reduce or enlarge it easily. With the right gear and some dosh even something not so full on,basically the self-supporting structure would be a no-brainier to build! That's what I like Edited April 4, 2011 by mescalito
Sola Posted April 4, 2011 I like the look of it, and it should be relatively easy to build. Perpsex or glass would be the expensive part I guess. Don't think I'd need under soil heat pipes in SA, would be good to have a tank nearby and collect rainfall.

tripsis Posted April 4, 2011 That chicken coop is awesome! Would love to have a greenhouse like that. Doesn't need to be nearly so high-tech either.
