As I sat sadly by her side

At the window, through the glass

She stroked a kitten in her lap

And we watched the world as it fell past

Softly she spoke these words to me

And with brand new eyes, open wide

We pressed our faces to the glass

As I sat sadly by her side

She said, father, mother, sister, brother,

Uncle, aunt, nephew, niece,

Soldier, sailor, physician, labourer,

Actor, scientist, mechanic, priest

Earth and moon and sun and stars

Planets and comets with tails blazing

All are there forever falling

Falling lovely and amazing

Then she smiled and turned to me

And waited for me to reply

Her hair was falling down her shoulders

As I sat sadly by her side

As I sat sadly by her side

The kitten she did gently pass

Over to me and again we pressed

Our different faces to the glass

That may be very well, I said

But watch the one falling in the street

See him gesture to his neighbours

See him trampled beneath their feet

All outward motion connects to nothing

For each is concerned with their immediate need

Witness the man reaching up from the gutter

See the other one stumbling on who can not see

With trembling hand I turned toward her

And pushed the hair out of her eyes

The kitten jumped back to her lap

As I sat sadly by her side

Then she drew the curtains down

And said, when will you ever learn

That what happens there beyond the glass

Is simply none of your concern?

God has given you but one heart

You are not a home for the hearts of your brothers

And God does not care for your benevolence

Anymore than he cares for the lack of it in others

Nor does he care for you to sit

At windows in judgement of the world he created

While sorrows pile up around you

Ugly, useless and over-inflated

At which she turned her head away

Great tears leaping from her eyes

I could not wipe the smile from my face

As I sat sadly by her side

Spoonbill - Australian producer. Wacky trippy dancy electro funk with tongue firmly in cheek.

School of Seven Bells - New York shoe-gaze electro pop.

yeah i find it an album that'll never get old for me and there's not a lot that can hold itself like it does.

What happened? I reckon society, some minds just can't cope with the insanity of it. Personal decisions sure, but why were they made... anyway getting off topic hehe :D

Also been doing RCHP blood sugar sex magic, not a favourite but really enjoys elements of.

many many many many times man...I used to follow them and hawkwind and eat static all around the country...Ozrics and the fruit salad light show...what a show and trippy as fuck...one night down in Brixton Hawkwind and Ozrics played after each other ...full on bro ...and I used to go all the way down to the west country with 5 pounds and a few hits of acid in my pockets just to catch em...i didn't know if they where still putting out records actually...I'm glad they are...the first time I saw them they supported Gong and William Orbit at a inner city London venue...forget the venue...damn...that was one freaky out of a night..I've never seen so many dreadlocks and army boots...just sounded like total random psychedelia and some tracks didn't end they morphed into something else and then went twisting and turning and upside down...those flute riffs and the colours....man I miss those years...the crowd that followed those lot around was the best...everyone was an acid head and squatted and lived from day to day...total hippy freakouts and crazy mothers...I still listen to their old stuff now and again like Pungent effluent and the bits between the bits...I actually ended up with one of their synths a juno 6...I was selling clothes for them in my shop and the artist who designed all the record covers for ozrics did all the artwork...he came into my shop one day and said hey man I know you love these guys so much take this synth...he said he had no use for it...I was like a baby with a new toy...it had been painted in fluoro paints with flowers and swirls etc all over it...they had given it to their artist as they had bought new gear and he gave it to me...I learned everything I know about analog synthesis from that keyboard...I ended up trading it in for an original TB 303 some 5 years later... I still kinda regret that but hey it was a real 303.....I had to have one..... :P

ahhh the good ol days...purple OHMS and catching trains with no money just to listen to em....memories man.
