Buuuullllshiiiitttt... :huh::o

As music lovers poured in, many were greeted with police sniffer dogs, who were wearing booties to shield their paws from the scolding bitumen.

Police were also conducting random swab testing, which is thought to be the first time the drug decection method has been used at an Adelaide event.

Steve McDougall, 20, of Bayside, was chosen randomly out of the crowd, and allowed to go in and enjoy his day.

"It took 10 seconds," Mr McDougall said.

That's not very helpful, and I couldn't find any other reports around yet.

Shit's fucked.

Fuck this man, no more festivals for me, that shit is just lame, swabs and shit, you test positive once and your on the drug users database for life.

Kristie Hill, 20, of Bridgewater, agreed the dogs provided a safe environment for revellers.

HAH, yeh all those eccied up fighters getting violent and making it dangerous for all the lovey dovey drunks...

Peace and FTW

Are they allowed to do that??? Isn't it the same as just walking down the street minding your own then getting asked to preform a swab test? I would have thought a person would be allowed to refuse. Is being high a crime?

cheers

On your ticket, apart of entry says to conform to being searched, and cannot be intoxicated. (which gives them the right to swap and/or breath test for alcohol/drugs).

Only because the promoter gives permission is it legal.

I am not joking when i say this;

I went to the toilets in BDO and people were obvously balooning, and taking laxatives.

Like airport smuggling bullshit... More people are going to die. This isn't fixing the problem, its causing people to take extraordinary measures.

I wish they'd bring back the Great Escape festival. 2007 was the best festival i've ever been to. I remember watching the clouds part above the stage as Ziggy Marley walked out, then as he finished his set and walked off stage they rolled back in.. it was magical.
