Goto google news and type gaza or west bank and compare that to how many results you get if you type "saudi womens rights" or baluchistan. Whenever there is a major military operation conducted by israel it is almost always on the news and covered in indy media, not that it doesn't deserve the media attention just making the point. As for the isreal palestine thing, its pretty easy to label israel as the big bad bully but both sides are equally at fault for the instability in the region. Extremist groups in palestine continue to fire rockets into israel and the isreal government continues with its iron fist policy of retribution. The whole situation is fucked as and I think its pretty pointless how lefties here in australia get so over the top about the sitatuion when they have no real understanding of the history and current events. I shudder to think what the american government would do to its neighbours if put in israels position. I probably have biased sentiments on this topic as my gf is jewish and has lived in isreal for a while and has witnessed both ends of the spectrum with regards to zionism. But being with her I see how much bullshit un-educated antisemitic crap jews have to put up with.

I think you guys are being redicilous, this thread started as a discussion about the saddam hussein being executed and has developed into a conspiracy theory about how jews are going to take over the world. Israel is probably the most criticized group of people in the world. Not taking away the fact that there are many atrocities committed in palestine by the israeli government, but there is far more fucked up shit happening in pakistan, saudi arabia etc which never makes the news and does not receive any where near the amount of attention that anything israel does gets. Websites such as the birdman/michael moore/fox news just portray one side of the facts rather than looking at the situation as a whole which is fair enough as any interpretation of an issue is subjective. But you can't just take information presented from these sources without looking at the issue from the other side. This is why I don't buy into many conspiracy theories, one one hand they talk about how you can't believe what you see on TV or the radio yet you should believe some random person on the internet. At least the former contains some forms of examination and checks to ensure its integrity.

How dare you lump coopers in the same category as VB I only drink beer and wine at least with them you have to drink a certain amount of liquid to get drunk, I can't control myself with spirits. I drink most beers, although I can't say I go much for wheat beers or those fruity belgian ones. I also love a nice full bodied red wine, i'll only drink wine if its out of a cask and I want to get plastered . I'm just starting to get into sparkling wines and champagnes, I love this sparkiling wine called Bella (made by the same company that make those yellow and pink sparkling wines), its pink in colour but i'm not sure what style of grapes its made from.

I'm going to get stuck back into brewing my own beer soon and thought that maybe I could try brewing some beers with various other herbs. I read apoth's thread on henbane pilseners which was informative and will definitley try that, but I was wondering what other ethnobotanical herbs people have tried brewing with beer? Would it be possible to add lillies or lotus flowers to a brew to give it a bit of that dreamy lilly feeling or would the lilly flowers hinder the brewing process? What about damiana? if it didn't make it too bitter i'd say it would give the beer a really nice taste and fragrance. And btw is the nook still around? I couldn't find it from google and I seem to remember they had a very informative brewing forum.

I watched both docos. I found it especially interesting listening to the religous orthodox jews who had used mdma and their interpretations of the experience. Lol one of the guys cracked me up talking about how he was screaming at the sun rising while on E, i think we've all seen someone like that at a trance party at one time or another It really pissed me off watching the meth documentary and seeing how the pharmaceutical companies who make pseudoephidrine containing medicenes seemed to have no moral concsience that their products where being used to make meth. All they cared about was that their products where selling and not what they where being used for.

We are all at different stages of our psychdelic evolution so we have different priorities and intentions with regards to our psychdelics use, maybe alittle more respect for each other is in order here?

When i was in melbourne a month or so ago i went into a nursery that had a whole bunch of pachanoi for sale for good prices. Most where over a metre tall with several pups almost as tall as the main stem, these where ranging in prices from $80-$130, I wish I had the money to spend on these beauties. Can't remember the name of the place but it was on Hawthorn rd in South Caulfield directly across from the Jewish library.

I find the fact that no matter how crazy it gets most intense part of the trip will be over in a matter of minutes. When i first started using it i found the initial come on part of the trip to be incredibly jarring and unpleasant but after a while I started to get used to it and have found it to be one of the most useful parts of the experience. For me, after exhaling i can feel my ego slipping away and as it does this I can observe the constant internal banter that goes on in my head from a more and more objective view point until it slips away suddenly.

One thing that I forsee in the future of music is people creating music that utilises various aural phenonemena that will create subjective listening experiences for the listener depending on their proximity to the speakers, the ears ability to pick up various frequencies and their concentration on the music.

I've driven past the drug past a few times in adelaide, and like most police tactics it just seems to be a show of force that will supposedly scare people into not driving while high. They only seem to pull in a few drivers at a time and it takes several minutes to test these drivers and wait for results, so the likelyhood of getting tested seems pretty low to me. From what i've seen they don't have cops manning side streets or one the other side catching people doing u turns before the bus. One time when traffic was crawling upto a drug test station, car after car was doing u turns over the median strip to avoid being tested. I've also heard quite a few people talk about rinsing your mouth out with vinegar (yuck) and the high acidity levels fuck with the tester. Although most of these stories where "my mate" style scenarios.
