That had some awesome sections to it. From 1:30 to about 3:00 was my favourite, and the last little build up. It's awesome getting lost in a guitar when sid is around. :D You represented the experience well. Thanks for sharing.

Same as above, and PM'd Stink

Just thought I'd add that Lamb of God's new album "Wrath" is pretty awesome. They have a bit of a meathead image, but they make some really good music. And relating to FancyPants' post, I saw Dillinger Escape Plan at the Soundwave just gone. Some of their music is way too chaotic to absorb in one sitting, but their show was awesome, one of the best for the whole day. I've gotten into 36 Crazyfists a lot over the last year as well. They rocked at Soundwave! Stink

Thanks for the input, I looked up the ones that were mentioned. I think it's most similar to a KK242. Still not 100% certain though. This is the main T. Peruvianus KK242 I am judging from though. Thanks Stink

Howdy, I found this little tiger at a cacti nursery in central NSW. It was labeled as a T. Bridgesii, but i don't think it is. I already did some searching in the SAB IDs. The only thing similar that I could find was Knuthianus and Cuscoensis. IDs or confirmation appreciated. Fanks Stink

Lol, strange, but looks pretty cool. His sculptures have some pretty surprising forms for just using sticky tape. Thanks Stink

I went to Mitre 10 the other day to find some pots (their pots were shit), and I stumbled across this. I immediately thought it was a Bridgesii. A confirmation ID would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Stink

Thanks for the IDs. Confirmed my... suspicions.

"Divine Moments of Truth" is another Shpongle song that has some good South American rhythms, as well as some other more tribal ones. It doesn't have the Spanish guitar but still a great song none the less. Another duo you might want to check out is Rodrigo Y Gabriela (or something like that). It's all acoustic guitar, but they play percussion on the guitar as well. It's not Psy though, but may be of interest. Stink

Your art work is AMAZING! You have definite talent. Your choice of ink as a medium is unusual, but very effective. The amount of detail is very impressive too. Looks like a lot of time has been spent on most of these. Number 3 in your 4th is probably my favourite. The wave lines and forms give of a really cool feeling. All of it is really good though. Stink Edit - Yay! 100 posts! -
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! He gets a bit rough doesn't he. Head buts all round

I've heard of it. Though, I have only had experience with it when a friend of mine got it from taking a dose of MDMA. I have no idea if mushies can effect it at all. I just found this on wikipedia Serotonin Syndrome. It says that Psilocybin can indeed lead to Serotonin Syndrome. Though it's just wikipedia, I would probably look into some more reliable sources. One step ahead of you I'm a massive fan of SOAD's first 2 albums, particularly Toxicity. I've been getting back into them lately actually. As for Led Zeppelin, I have a best of album that has some really cool songs on it. I don't know if it has Kashmir on it, but I shall check it out. Immigrant Song (or something similar) is one of my favourites by them. Stairway to Heaven can't be beaten though . You can see how much of an influence they have had on modern music when you go back and listen to their's. Thanks Stink

Yeah I agree Mind. It would be good if education programs could involve some first hand contact with victims or the victims family. That way it would hit home a lot more. Not saying kids should be subjecting to seeing graphic injuries/illness first hand. But if I heard someone talking personally about how it has effected their life, then it has more of a direct influence. I don't know or care about the people on a cigarette packet, therefore it has little meaning to me. My two cents worth Stink

I think if these graphic images actually work, then it is obviously a good thing that people are taking their health and the health of others into consideration. I don't nessecarily think it's the best way to go about it though. I've been exposed to these sort of images for most of my life. They have progressively become more graphic. I don't think they have had any effect on my decisions about smoking, driving, drinking, whatever. The graphicness of them has actually desensitised me to that form of warning. If I see a picture of dead bodies on the news, a gangrenous leg due to smoking, lungcancer ads, stroke ads etc. It doesn't really phase me. I think their meaning has lost a lot of impact (especially for me) over time. By making the images worse, it is just desensitising us further. Not really getting to the core education of the issue. The meanings and ideas behind the images are what needs to be focused on. Stink

Hey, I just wanted an ID on these 3 cuttings. I have an idea of what they are, just wanted a second opinion to make sure. There seems to be a fair amount of variation, even within each cutting. This is the first one The second And the final one Thanks Stink

A few of My Artworks - Image heavy

Great post Tripitaka! Thanks A LOT for the input. It's got me thinking about my artwork from a different angle. I am only just starting to experiment with variation of tone. To be honest, I'm not overly confident doing so, as I often fuck it up. So I play it safe mostly. That's a learning experience though. As for the vanishing points, scale and depth etc. I mess around with it a bit. It's definitely something I need to put more focus on. I've never really had any idea of what materials work best with others. I will look into the watercolour paper you mentioned. I really need to start using colour more as a whole. I have no idea what tonal ground is either, lol, care to fill me in? And, yet another thing I have no idea on is the price. It would probably depend which artwork/s you are interested in. I have never sold artworks, so have no clue where the price range should even start. I'll PM you regarding that. Thanks again. Edit: Your post only just popped up gerbil. Thanks for the input Stink
