levicacti Posted June 8, 2012 Seems like awesome prices to me, teasing indeed . I used to have a couple a few years back but they were left out of my care for way too long and died , just wish i had of kept 1 going to prop but what can ya do. And i recently went back to the place were i was amazed to find them in the first place, without much hope in mind being years later but worth a shot, only to find they've actually closed down Me thinks i need to start getting more involved in the forum (been a long term reader but not active) and going to meets and whatnot . Anyway sorry to sidetrack good luck man they look great!

kiwiportal Posted August 11, 2013 Hi, Solomon is living in a different city than his collection atm, but i could help you out. I dont have any already rooted cuts but can take one or two easy enough. How much would you charge for two rooted cuttings? is there a way you can PM me?
bogfrog Posted August 11, 2013 Ummmm... You can just have em! Take it as a gesture of good will. I am happy to see another kiwi on board. It will take a couple weeks for them to develop roots but I'll snip them off now and PM you when they are ready. Special plants need to be shared.

Biophilic Posted August 19, 2013 Hi Bogfrog - I have been searching for a place to purchase salvia plants for a while now, I'm very interested in growing my own as I firmly belive the dedication to the plant is an important part of whatever experience is felt while under it's influence. If there were any chance you could help me source some cuttings - either your own or elsewhere, I would be extremely grateful and of course willing to reimburse you for any trouble. ~Bio
bogfrog Posted August 19, 2013 (edited) Hi I'm sorry to say my plant only has so many growing tips! I had several before winter but lost a couple of my biggest healthiest plants during a cold snap. I am hesitant to go handing cuttings out like popcorn as my own plant cost me $50 and I have tended to it over the last four years to get it to the point it is at now. I have given away a fair amount of plants and seeds to new NZ members in the hope they might stick around, but so far the newbies seem to just take the freebies and disappear never to be heard from again. This guy has some for sale on trademe at the moment: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Members/Listings.aspx?member=112323 I have taken a couple of tip cuttings, but I think I will just leave it up to individuals to contact me via PM if they want to obtain one, and please respect that I would prefer you do this as a last resort. Any further requests for cuttings in this thread will be ignored by me, I am not the one selling them and only offered because I was covering for my mate who started this thread. I'm pretty sure his own plants have suffered over winter so I don't think his offer of cuttings for sale is still valid. It helps to check the dates of threads. kiwiportal Posted August 19, 2013 (edited) Bogfrog, I've sent you a PM.Are we allowed to talk about the uses for salvia on this forum? Edited August 19, 2013 by kiwiportal
Nemisty Posted August 19, 2013 If any kiwis make it past 20 posts I'll send some cuttings out for free. Its like Bogfrog says lots of one post wonders seem to want stuff and then vanish forever so I'll only be offering to those who are keen on sticking around.
gtarman Posted August 20, 2013 (edited) They seem to sell them here too, if any NZ desperado's reckon it's worth a crack: http://shaman.co.nz/Salvia-divinorum.html But yeah, stick around anyway...there's much more valuable things to be had from being a member round here than plants. You'll be surprised how much you learn and the great people you meet. Not to mention the free cactus porn... Edited August 20, 2013 by gtarman
Biophilic Posted August 20, 2013 Hi again, my apologies if I came across as a leech. Thanks for the trade-me link, I didnt even think to look there! I'm not sure how dedicated I can be to this forum but I will make a point of exploring the other sub-forums. If things grab my fancy then perhaps I will just stick around, who knows. Anyway, thanks again for the advice - people here seem to be pretty helpful in general. ~Bio
