Are there any Junglists out there? Anyone into DnB? Dub? Ska?

I used to, been a long time. I saw grooverider play at a party in 92, kicked it off for me.

But yeah, not much of a scene in oz.

I was listening to a lot of panacea around 10 years ago, didn't think there was much else of interest happening since then, but I'm not down with the kids...

Dnb and jungle is huge in Perth.

Check out the inhibit crew - they tour acts across oz and nz.

Ive got about 8,000 320 mp3 and crates upon crates of vinyl to play as far as dnb goes

Edit: my thread from 2 years ago lol

I was playing d'n'b in Perth about 15 years ago, I've got a massive vinyl collection from when I lived in the UK.

I still haven't lost the drive, listening to a lot of metalheadz and old school labels again these days... between the psy and chill of course.

Which track/s?

It's heavy surfing through the funk to find the beats.

I've never thought much of Perth till now.

Seemed to isolated and dry.

Jungle and DnB huge in Perth though...why can't the SEQ, NNSW have such nice things.  Too much psy trance I say.

Did you ever play @ Rise nightclub ? Mate of mine now owns the old coat room door.

Isolated and dry.. and getting screwed when it comes to the GST share.

Psytrance is absolutely terrible. People at doofs look like they're trying to take a shit while "dancing"

Not that I can remember.

Doesn't mean I didn't. I did a lot of gigs I can't really remember by name. Such were the times...

edit: I remember that place now, after a few hours thinking about it. I don't recall ever seeing d'n'b there let alone playing there?
