Last winter my Calea was just a bunch of dead twigs till spring, when it re-shot again. And this was out in the open weather through frosts and rains.

I saw a heap of flys on the sunday just been, in a lot of various stages.

I've never been sure how expansion of the universe is plausible? Isn't it just another term for the light from that distance of "expansion", which takes what billions of years to reach earth, finally reaching here, after being fractured and refractured, bent, even slowed down or sped up through different gases that may not exist anywhere in our solar system, thus causing the appearance of an expanding universe. And then if the universe is expanding, why are we the center of it, wouldn't we also be getting further away from stars on the other side of the sphere of the universe, and keeping closer distances to the stars that are, at a given time time, the same distance from earth and our sun, but on the same side of the expansion. sorry, bit of a hijack and ramble at that.

Posted By Eccles ARGH! this is dreadful. I';m very sorry about this guys... here's what happened... On sat morning I noticed that my wonderful *cough* web provider had totally fucked up my site somehow... it turned out on further inspection that the user table in the mySQL database (the database that holds ALL the site information etc) was GONE!... don't ask me how, but I am pretty pissed off about that and intend to move to a differnet provider or try to host it from home. Anyway... last night I was working on it and thought of a way to get it back. I couldn't login to do a database restore from a backup because of course, you couldn't even login. so I fiddled with the mySQL database itself and imported an old userlist. So I was then able to get in. The userlist was made when there were only 199 users so now I need to restore from a backup I made a fortnight ago (which will have all users in it), then export the usertable, then restore from a backup I made about a DAY ago (which has all the posts in it), then re-import the userlist. and it should be fine. everyone should be back. there's only one problem... the fucking restore function doesn't work. so I am still working on this. anyone who knows more about this than me (mySQL, phpBB etc) please feel free to offer assistance cheers everyone - and sorry again...

What I would really like to know is if it is possible to actually have an idle mind, while the body is still alive?I'm not familiar with all the mind states during sleep, but when dreams are occuring there is definitely mind activity. Likewise when you are awake, I guess you are always thinking about things, using your mind to recognize objects, signs, symbols, but at a level that it appears as a subconscious activity, or levels that were leart during a "baby mind" stage.

Does anyone know some other places where dried herbs can be purchased from? From what I have been reading about medicine garden in some previous posts, they seem a little dodgy, but have good prices for dried herbs. These posts were over a year old so they might be better now, has anyone had any recent experiences with their herbs, no not the nursery side. Happy High Herbs seem fine but are a little on the pricey side and don't have much variety. While waiting for a few plants to grow, i want to try some others, see if they are any good for me

how about a picture comparison between younger and older mushrooms of the same species and how long they take to grow i.e. dissapear within a day, week of fruiting?

mostly I use the coopers cans, but when i can afford something a bit more fuller i go for a grumpys who have some booster packs containing hops , lotsa hops , invert sugars, even some grains. good for the variety and a smooth creamy head.
