apothecary Posted February 3, 2006 6 packs of Mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris) seed 6 packs of Motherwort (Leonurus cardiaca) seed 6 packs of Licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra) seed 6 packs of Elecampane (Inula helenium) seed 6 packs of Ashwaghanda seed (Withania somnifera) seed 6 packs of California Poppy (Escholzia california) seed 6 packs of Mullein (Verbascum thapsus) seed (needs stratification apparently) 6 packs of Spearmint (Mentha spicata) seed 6 packs of Skullcap (Scutellaria lateriflora) seed. Each pack has at least 5 seeds in it (much more for most of the seeds), you can ask for (no more than) one pack of everything if you want, but try and leave enough so lots of people get lots of seed! :D All the seeds just arrived from Pleasance Herbs, I hope they are fresh but I can't guarantee anything. PM me with your postage addy and what you want, first come first served, I may send some seed out to a few extra people depending on how much I plant myself. If you are a #lab regular, please don't PM me, mention it to me on the chat instead, as I have set aside some for you guys too. Much love. ~apothecary

apothecary Posted February 6, 2006 Everyone who has pm'd me (even you Auxin :D) will have their seeds sent out tomorrow, I'm pretty sure there is still a few left of most stuff so don't hesitate to ask anyway. A few people have asked the reason I'm sending out all these seeds for nothing, well, I ordered them all from Pleasance Herbs, and they came in 50+ lots of seed when I got them, which is far more than I can use so basically I thought I'd send the stuff I wasn't gonna plant out to the community I love so much ^_^ Much love. SaBReT00tH Posted February 6, 2006 are licorice plants the same as aniseed plants?? I thought the flavour in licorice was from aniseed??
Auxin Posted February 6, 2006 Thanks apothecary :D That was the last one missing on my list of stuff to grow in 2006 sugeshotcha, aniseed is Pimpinella anisum, licorice is Glycyrrhiza glabra ... but your right anise is often used as a 'licorice-smelling' adulturant in licorice stuff.
