2 growing conditions, 2 cacti... note the difference of the bottom part with markings (original cutting grown in North Africa) and compare it to new growth in a greenhouse in Europe.

This is the first trichocereus I've got and it's one of my favorites.

It grows differently where I live as I never had these roundish ribs. I gave a cutting to a friend in California and it looks different than yours and mine........more bright green than both of ours.

Here's a picture of it grafted to Stenocereus

Nitrogen, all of the named clones and named hybrids , my monstrose forms, cristatas I possess came from you... for free. So I'm the one whwho's supposed to thank you. You're the man.

It's an honor that you're growing this clone. I'm pretty sure it'll flower for you before it'll flower here in my environment.

I bought this one with this freaky kind of pupping. I don't know what caused it to pup this way, as this clone doesn't pup that often and when it does.... It's usually from the base

Sure EG . The other day I re-potted the mother, here it is with second generation pups...If you are wondering what are those scars, well the cutting grew to fast (to what it was used to) because of intense feeding and watering. In the second picture, when shipped to me, Feb.14

Wow man..that's impressive.

What are the conditions you grow it in?

I think it grows faster in partial shade, but currently I can't provide that.

Hey Philo, Its been in the green house with frequent nutrition & watering. I will probably leave one of those pups to help it out, old tissue is stressed. Before Spring I harvested 2 cuttings which are now rooted and growing.

Don't knoe too much about it as it's an American one, but I always drooled over Ressler's pics of his super fat colossus. Hopefully yours is the same clone.

There are more pics of Ressler's floating around where you can see the whole of his plant.
