I can second that. Ole Murple doesn't like me much though, won't let me post my Salvia Divinorum extraction document on his site. I tried but the delete button was used on it within two hours.

I must have missed something. What has Murple's site got to do with the B*** (is it a secret?)? Unless you meant Murple who has been known to be fairly grizzly himself at times :)

Didn't even have a clue he lived in Oz, thought he was in the US.

Yep, he did that to me too.

A couple of posts just disappeared without further comment.

salvinorin,

I read the thread i think you are talking about, i didn't like it either, as it basicaly said that salvia divinorum was in no way a sacred plant, and alot more.

It's not as simple as you put forward.

Are you discussing the validity of opinions here gerbil, or of facts?

( three food chain points to anyone who can qualify the difference for once and for all btw, was just curious :) )

An o'pinion is an Irish descendant of a feather and a fact is generally even weirder.

Murple has little hold on logic or courtesy. I really would like to know if he was like that before he was a guinea pig for so many experimental chems or if (sacrilege to many in his circles) some of the phenethylamines could do lasting damage. He isn't a member here anymore so I can insult him now.

DL, both facts and opinions really, but i don't think i should get into this,

Salvinorin has done some great work as has already been mentioned, but i do not like where this salvia as an aphrodesiac discussion is headed. The thread over at SPF will explain more if people are interested.

But this has nothing to do with the forums closing so i'll keep quiet :)

salvinorin,

Not to go too far off topic, but let me say this. I never said that "Salvia is in no way Sacred" what I said is that it is no more sacred than anything else and continued to explain that calling one plant sacred is to deny the sacredness of another. Either all things are sacred or nothing is sacred. That was my point. Why can't sex be considered a sacred act? I suppose if you don't see it that way then to you it isn't and then, of course, Salvia Divinorum can't be used that way because Salvia is sacred and sex isn't. At least, that is my take on the logic when people say that Salvia is too sacred to be used to enhance sexual pleasures.

I don't think that was the issue anyway, Murple just wanted to flame me and choose that topic to do so. He has his reasons to want to do that. His removing my Salvia extraction tek from his web site should be evidence of what his beef really is. Shortly after he blew his stack over that a troll registered at the SPF forum and tried to get people to vote that I should be banned from the forum. The admin removed the poll which also made many unfounded and twisted accusations as well.

So, I don't tow the standard line that many into Salvia Divinorum choose to spread around the net, so what. If you want my personal opinion all plants, all life forms are sacred, none above the other. People choose one thing above the other as sacred because of their own beliefs, usually because of what it can do for them. Selfish if you ask me, but that is what most people do. I would have made this clear to Murple but he was too busy flamming me. The thread was later locked due to the amount of flamming.

Hmmmm... well said Salvinorin. I can't understand why you seem to come under fire so frequently Salvinorin. To me, the thoroughness of your work and your effort in getting the findings/information out there partiularly admirable especially despite your intentions to 'leave' the entheogenic community anyway.

BTW, I can confirm the effect of low dose Salvia on orgasm. Actually, it felt more like the effects of orgasm on low dose Salvia. A borderline subthreshold sublingual dose of salvia was brought right into the superthreshold range at orgasm. I put this down to some sort of synergy between endogenous opiates and salvinorins.

Cya round

Must be, cos I can't think of anyone else?

Timothy Leary? Oh no, he's dead...

Other than that I totally agree with Salvinorin...

Why would salvia be to sacred for sex?

Sex can be anything, from sacred to devilish... and so can Salvia....

Not too sacred for sex, too sacred for the sex industry and all the money that goes with it.

I think that Salvia shouldn't be pimped on the net by anyone, especially the sites that like to compare it to "A new LSD" by innocently linking to a sensationalized NBC news report on their selling web site.

I don't see much difference, sex sites selling it as a aphrodesiac or entheogen web sites calling it sacred but yet willing to sell it to anyone with a credit card that claims to be 18 years old. I am happy that I have the freedom to use it in which ever way I want and happy that most people in the world have this freedom too. I don't believe that it is too sacred for any use. I suppose the backlash against Salvia's use as a aphrodesiac comes from the Mazatec's indians who require abstination from sex for a period of time before and after use.

Edit: Shortened it, I was rambling on about things which weren't really important.

The Moody Blues???!!!!???

Are they still making music?

Last time I heard of them was on the Simpsons when they were playing in a Casino in Vegas..

i thought they must be real weird now if they play in casinos...

What's the link between them and Leary?

Used to like "to our children's children's children album" when it was new, later I found their music totally boring...

It would take a lot of convincing to actually buy anything of theirs...

BTW does anyone know if the new Radiohead is any good and worth buying?

Seems they have reverted to their pre-Kid A- style?

many people know the song that goes'timothy learys dead' this is actually 'legend of a mind'

from 'in search of a lost chord',when tim was dying they remade the track with lyric 'timothy leary lives',included on the album i mentioned and on a tribute to tim album.

beyond life has some great entheogenic imagery/raves for listening to in an appropriate state of mind though it is not to everyones taste.

also features alan ginsburg,liquid mind,al jourgenson[boc].
