0 Philocacti Posted January 17, 2014 It's called mother of thousands, All these small pups forming on its leaves will fall in your pot and grow new plants......it's very invasive. I had one in one of my melt wax bridgesii pot and it took over the pot and nearby pots. It was kind if hard getting rid of it. I still have so many young one, but still I like how it looks

0 El Presidente Hillbillios Posted January 17, 2014 definitely mother of millions, its pretty bad as far as any weeds go. Id suggest killing it now and being very watchfull for its babies popping up
0 hostilis Posted January 17, 2014 (edited) That's a mother of millions?? Whenever I've seen them they are green. But yeah, those things take over like mad. All those little leaflet things will fall off and start new plants. Edited January 17, 2014 by hostilis
0 gr33ntea Posted January 18, 2014 Oh wow this plant is evil, it has killed so many cattle, the flowers are apparently toxic, Yes you are right it is bloody invasive i just checked my pots, there are at least three different shoots growing in places! I think I am going to keep it in a pot away from exposed soil.http://www.dpi.nsw.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0006/44727/Mother_of_millions_-_Primefact_45-final.pdf
0 zelly Posted January 21, 2014 Bryophyllum daigremontianum Actually the plant in the first post is Bryophyllum delagoense aka Kalanchoe delagoensis. Both Bryophyllum delagoense & Bryophyllum daigremontianum are commonly known as 'mother of millions'
0 Kykeion Posted January 21, 2014 I've got three varieties/species of these. They are neat plants, but can spread very easily and become a nuisance. The first one I got came from a college professor who said she often found them growing in the carpet below the window she grew the mother in. The flowers are pretty, and resistant of aloe flowers. 0 Quixote Posted January 21, 2014 Fascinating plant, looks like something you'd discover on an alien planet.. I wonder why they don't take over the Earth if they are so prolific?
0 mutant Posted February 1, 2014 "I wonder why they don't take over the Earth if they are so prolific?" they are not mother of millions , weed wise is a walk in the park compared to some grasses and of course Oxalis sp. Its pretty easy to get rid off, if you spend some time in the garden. I always cut it back but leave some.. its always popping somewhere but its not really annoying...
