Rabaelthazar
Hiya Amz,Not sure of your budget so a little hard to recommend, but I got one of these about 6 months ago and have been really happy with it.http://www.jbhifi.co...d-tv-sku-84909/The 32 inch version is under $600 and has 1080p and 100hz refresh rate:http://www.jbhifi.co...d-tv-sku-84927/If that's still out of your budget, you could try going into a store and asking about last season's models that meet your spec requirements. Most places are keen to move on old stock and should do you a good deal.Good luck.[edit - I know you've had bad experience with Samsung but the products are good] Edited December 5, 2012 by Rabaelthazar
Yavimaya
The best advice i could give is, buy a nice 1080p projector for your loungeroom and give the gaming addict your old TV.
Bread Filter
The best advice i could give is, buy a nice 1080p projector for your loungeroom and give the gaming addict your old TV. In my opinion projectors suck big time. The image is never good and you always have to replace the expensive globes. You also can't use light guns etc.

My TV is a 10 year old Loewe ,but still works good enough. Too chunky and heavy for the Xbox addicts room <___base_url___>/uploads/emoticons/default_smile.png<___base_url___>/uploads/emoticons/default_smile.png

Amazonian
, but I got one of these about 6 months ago and have been really happy with it.http://www.jbhifi.co...d-tv-sku-84909/ I thought i would look into this set a bit more even though its a bit pricey, maybe we can get a better price else where... anyway... I looked at the technical specs' of the above TV on the Samsung website. They are saying the 'clear motion rate' is at 100 and there is no mention of Hz. So i rang Samsung and spoke to a technician there and who said...(after pausing and changing his wording a few times) that the ' clear motion rate and Hz are combined. So i said is it 100 Hz and he really couldn't answer with a yes or now. Because i am not technically minded, i still am not sure about that one. <___base_url___>/uploads/emoticons/default_smile.pngI like the way you can skype and what not on that particular model though.<___base_url___>/uploads/emoticons/default_smile.png
Rabaelthazar
Well, whatever the specs are, I find it more than clear enough to enjoy watching movies and playing playstation on it. Really good value for money, IMO.
Amazonian
Yeah, when it comes down to it...you can forget all the technical jargon/specs, as long as your happy with the quality hey <___base_url___>/uploads/emoticons/default_smile.png<___base_url___>/uploads/emoticons/default_smile.png
