IndianDreaming Posted May 16, 2012 Haha - maybe some salt would be good... I think i'll let them hatch, then ditch them out the front when i lose interest in them. Funny... one minute I'm growing cacti, the next i'm a nurse maid for the enemies spawn...

Halcyon Daze Posted July 6, 2012 (edited) I found this Emperor Gum moth dying on the ground one morning in Tassie last year, so I took it home and pinned it out after it had fluttered it's last flutter. I'm not a collector of such creatures but this one was in mint condition. This photo turned out good too, musta been the overcast lighting conditions (something to remember in future). Nemisty Posted July 29, 2012 Had this guy chilling on my up turned kayak. You Aussies probably think this is hilarious but he's considered a big spider over here. A native Weta enjoying the rain, just took this photo 5 mins ago. We got tonnes of these around our house I love them, they spit at you when you piss them off but they're harmless. Brillant for blackmailing your sister with.
Nemisty Posted August 2, 2012 Not really an insect but we had this awesome guy last summer living amongst some bromeliads. Frogs have to be my favourite animal.
