If it was a Coprinopsis species, that would mean that the substrate is far too rich in nitrogen for cacti. Auxin Posted May 16, 2014 I've heard the decomposers/frees up nutrients argument before. In those arguments the health of the human tends to be ignored. Berengar Posted May 16, 2014 Well, that can be a concern, but in my opinion, definitely not at this scale. Also, some species produce a lot more spores and are much more aggressive than others. Oyster mushrooms particularly, mushroom farmers who work with them have to wear high quality breathing masks at all times, or else health problems can build up pretty quickly. Other commonly cultivated species usually pose little health risk, even for people who pick metric tons of them on a weekly basis. A small coprinoid mushroom that pops up every now and then is of no concern. The air is full of foreign particles, mushroom spores, mold spores, bacteria, microscopic animals and a myriad of other things, a healthy human with uncompromised immune system is able to defend itself from most of them. 3 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

djmattz0r Posted May 20, 2014 All of those tricho babies look very nice Found some rot on a variegated scion/stock so I grafted 2 pups just in case it spread and I lost the whole graft. A couple days later Unfortunately after a couple days it seems to have spread slightly, engulfing the small pups that were in the first picture. So the main button was re-grafted to a large PC pachanoi. It is held in place with kite twine and then a rubber band held in place with 2 toothpicks stuck into the stock. I hope I got all the infection cut away but I am pretty sure the other 2 took with some luck so not all my eggs in one basket 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
