Getafix Posted October 21, 2013 Potted up the majority of seedlings from zellys seed. Fark what a mission, finding enough containers was half the battle. Anyways, Had some free time and took a few photos of things about the garden. Some texana seedlings just under a year old. Raised them in straight pumic sand and now moved them to a proper mix 'Pachanoi' I raised from Cactusplaza seed. Hmmm we shall these how these pan out... Huanucoensis x kimnach looking plump. Only reppoted them just over a week ago Macro from Ceres starting to take shape. I have a good feeling about this guy. Another macro looking fabulous as usual And finally a bud on my T. lobiviodies 'purpureominiata' Should be able to cross this guy this season. Looking good mate. That Macro looks a little familiar, where did Ceres get it? I sold a few but can't remember if she took any, they were beautiful plants!! Cheers Getafix
Nemisty Posted October 21, 2013 Yep that one is from your collection I believe Getafix. One of Ceres mates has the top part growing and its ferociously spined. Love to know where your sourced the seed for your macro's. CBL has a few of its brothers and sisters and they're all incredible plants too. Here's my fave which he planted in the ground before heading off to London town. Hopefully it pups so I can propagate it.
Getafix Posted October 22, 2013 Hey Nemistry, The seed came from an online Trade Me vendor years ago. In fact most of that collection I had which is now spread around NZ came from the same source. I was just getting started and excited to have seed and just didn't ask the right question about origin. Wish I had as some beautiful Peru's, Macro's etc came from that seed. Glad to see they are all well loved! Cheers Getafix
bogfrog Posted October 24, 2013 Fuck! Sooooo hot today! I really dont know if my greenhouse will be a blessing or a curse this summer if the heat continues to rise. I can barely stay in there for more than a few mins. Hope my plants can handle it. Alot of watering has been done, and alot more is left to do. Nice flower out to say hello: New table, already full: Cacti cacti cacti...i sure hope you like this sun
GoOnThen Posted October 24, 2013 Can you add some shade cloth to reduce the heat but not reduce the light to much. I have just come in from pulling my shade cloth curtains over on the inside of my greenhouse. They will stay closed until the end of summer now. I have green 50% on the outside which stays on all year round and then I have the 50% Aluminet curtains on the inside for summer. The Aluminet shade cloth is really good stuff . This is the blurb on it. ALUMINET® Thermal Screen Shade Clothes offer superior year round climatic protection for flowers, potted plants and vegetables. Aluminet® acts like a mirror as its unique aluminized screens reflect unwanted sunlight and harmful radiation heat from the greenhouse during summer, and preserve the heat inside the greenhouse during winter. Getafix Posted November 9, 2013 Does anyone know what the Hb01 is a cross of? Beautiful plant @ coolname! Hey there, It is sold by Herbalistics as a short spined Peruvianus clone. Very pretty plant. Some of my older ones have developed quite long spines. Getafix

So hopefully i'll have 3 or 4 of these by the end of this growing season. Deciding now which crest or monster gets grafted next?
