I-dosing; The Digital drug craze.

I saw this on the news this evening and i honestly have not been aware of this phenomenon.

Year's ago i heard of experimental music which gave the listener just through the music itself....hallucinations. Now i did try to find info on this a while ago but came up empty. Im not sure if this I-dosing thing is related.

Was hoping to start the discussion off with a really concise post with the best info available i could find but im in a bit of a hurry tonight so i have basically just banged together the first few links i could find.

You guys are specialists in this quasi-psuedo scientific and current trend type issues and honestly this spins the fuck outta me, whats the story crew, is this shit legit......hopefully this thread throws up some interesting feedback etc.

the problem here as i see it is suppression of the soul these people are being introduced to bineal tones that expose them to higher levels of consciousness when they dont even understand what meditation is

as far as im concerned its not new news that frequencies can do things to you considering matter itself is created by a frequency

however ive never trusted these audio files,cds coz there needs to be initiation to higher levels of consciousness whereas these bineal tones seem to be created without this in mind theres an insensitivity/disrespect to the sacred space

i would suggest to

steer clear of these experiances if your heart tells you so

the guy in the freak out clip almost looks like he starts freaking out when the persons presence becomes closer and greater interesting he starts humming a tone of his own !!!

coin, if only !!! alchohol is so ingrained in western society its just the norm seems to be becoming boring for kids that want to get "off their heads"

only since giving up all alchohol has this become so grossly apparent to me

Hey guys i used i-doser mid last year but found little to no effects But i was always keen on mixing it with a real drug just for a bit more kick ..

there is over 100 different Sound files(dose files)Main 3 being theta beta alpha? which are different states of awareness..

does this really work like ive done heaps of research and used it my self but i could never really get a grasp of a trance/effects with any of the dose files included in the pack i Downloaded..

I've had a play with some of the dose files and have used Hemi-Sync in the past.Coming off Benzo's now I had to stop the Alcohol one as it was freaking my nervous system!

Typed in "psytrance music theta frequency" in google and found this paper from 2004. Pretty interesting. It gets more into the frequency entrainment from about page 7.

razor yea its a nice tune as i said up top i just yanked it in as a quick example as it was the first i-dosing clip or similar i found, it does nothing for me brainwave wise and its comparable to basic 99 gatecrasher in my books, maybe i need to plug in the earphones as suggested.

now i suppose i have experimented a bit with something comparable a few years ago i downloaded some programs called brainwave generators which did the ol alpha beta theta thing, under the influence of d xm (thankfully only a 3 week phase at the age of 32 which was very gratifying but also terrifying) it did produce some moderate effects, so there is some weight to the argument that drugs magnify the effects of the i-dose as i now refer it to.

the marketing gurus for i-dose probably have just matched up the alpha beta theta delta i forget which is which but alpha is sleeping, beta thinking, delta stimulating so the marketing guys have just matched up alpha sleeping downers or beta thinking pot or delta stimulating coke for example, its just simple grade 1 marketing. that is the core reason why the authorities want to ban it, so you have a double edge sword.....these pricks are making a fortune because of the drug references but will probably in effect start a war on freedom of expression with authorities ie listening to music. however that has not stopped coca cola becoming the most popular drink in the world, perhaps the very voices that speak out against i-dose should refer back to their own cola consumption.

a gateway to drugs is another matter, personally when i have a teenager i would prefer her to be hooked on i-dose than cooking sherry, the number one gateway drug is not i-dose or tobacco or marijuana, it is friends......so if you dont want your kid hooked on drugs then eradicate all friends from your childs life as peer pressure is the number one most addictive drug in the world.

im still bemused by that guy who freaks out in the original post, apparently you tube is littered with similar clips of freak outs on i-dose, is this just suggestion via video camera as in similar to hypnosis or past life regression, is it just plain old acting, is it really boring style people who have never experienced drugs for real so this is their first joint so to speak or is it in fact real???? im fascinated.

as for music all i can say is thank god the boundaries are being pushed a little bit, there are a million songs out there and it doesnt matter how new or cutting edge it is i heard it all before, in my opinion dance music peaked in roughly 2000- 2002 and it was going places but it doesnt matter what they bring out now, its all been done before, a bit like cars......wow i can buy a new ford focus but besides smelling new for a while it is essentially just the ford laser i drive now, adding i-dose style music to an over saturated repetitive music industry is comparable to buying a hovercraft to drive to work instead.

I tried some of these a few weeks ago and got some effects.

I cant remeber which one I tried first from youtube but within about 45 seconds I got a very noticable 'lifting' feeling similar to the initial effects of a strong stimulant.

I then tried some of the 'scarey' ones like 'Gates of hell' and 'Hand of God' and I must admit, I didnt like it at all and started to hear voices and chatter about 1/3rd through which made me unformatable due to past psychosis or fear of subliminal messaging.

I had all the conspiracy thoughts at first but then after some searching it seems that this is a common effect with these tones apparently due to the brain trying to find patterns or familiarity in the sounds.

I do get more powerful effects from listening to old tunes from 'back in the day' like stimulation, major spine tingles, neck/scalp rushes/tingles and mild euphoria etc but I think this is more due to it being linked to past euphoria and doubt most people would get the same results.

what i find interesting too is the scaremongering. amen. even if i were to download and watch some trashy american shows that i like, that i CHOSE to watch, it still feels a bit putrid to plug my brain into that for hours at a time.
