monstrous X tricho seed

Recommended Posts

A monstrous peruvianus was successfully X'd with SS02 pollen in the states and I'm fortunate enough to have a little seed. The trait should carry hopefully. :drool2:

A self addressed stamped envelope will getcha 6 seeds. PM for my address.

* experienced cactus forum members only please as they're too precious to waste.

Not after any atm due to the effort required to grow from seed, but big ups to you SB for being so damn generous! Best wishes to those who end up with them - let's hope they be monstrose bubs!

Strange thing but, thought id mention it, when the envelope came, the entire bottom edge was open, I dunno if it was the main postage centre that done this or my local post office , but how they stayed in there is amazing.

Ok that's all for now, we'll see how things pan out.

The more photo's the merrier but I don't imagine there'll be much to see when they're young unless you get lucky with a crest. :)

and yeah the envelopes are dodgy, thanks for letting me know. If you stick your hand in them they tear but I wouldn't have thought it'd occur otherwise...weird.

Yeah my envelope was open as well. Extremely neat opening, looked like it had been opened with a stanely knife. All the goodies intact though

Sure why not..although I only received 3 seeds, I was totally stoked to try and get them up and running, here is one of the 2 that survived, the other is a normal looking cactus so far but this one is definately a crested form...a little red from getting a lot of low sky sun and maybe a little cold burn, it's still growing and alive though for sure, pretty sure when spring comes it will take off like a beauty, till then though minimal watering and a nice sunny location protected from the cold snapping southerly winds.
