Chiral Posted July 3, 2009 So i have contemplated this many times and after seeing some pictures of a place I have always wanted to go it struck me that I still have a few things left in life I wish to accomplish...of course a list is the best way and you can cross them off as you have completed them...teo I'm sure you will love this thread... Travel and live in Europe - done Surf competitively and win a contest or at least trophy - done Get a hat-trick as a bowler in cricket - done Travel to Asia and marry a beautiful Asian woman - done Learn to write electronic music and successfully release at least one track - done Travel the world and seek out the most purest and strongest psychedelics - done Understand basic organic chemistry - done Locate and pick magic mushrooms - done Play a bit or extra in a TV show or commercial - done some things I haven't done but really want to... Grow cactus to a point where I can cross breed two unique ones and call the offspring what ever I want to call them. Travel from the east coast of USA to west coast, road trip...through the desert and see Arizona etc. Travel to south America again but this time go further than just Mexico and witness such places as Peru and the Amazon. Travel to and spend some time in Canada. Write a book and have it published. Visit my son in Texas and have a beer with him when he is old enough. Restore a car to it's original condition. Own a small piece of land in the bush or forest. That's most of them for now...I'm sure I can do most of them if i put my mind to it...how bout anyone else...do you have lists of things you need to accomplish before you die...or maybe you couldn't care less. I am thinking of starting a surfing thread here with relation to plants, which ones you use to improve your surfing experiences and which ones you use to help relive the wave of the day you got a few hours earlier. Ive always wanted to travel but am terrified of actually doing it! However i love hearing other peoples travel stories and adventures! Have you surfed any exotic locations? Good thread! (Sorry for the million questions ) Hey uncle, I used to surf everyday from the age of about 10...I started surfing competitively when I was 16 and joined the local board riders club at the same time...we held local contests and held contests against other board riders clubs and the top few of us used to travel away and surf in all the lead contests to the pro junior...most of those contests were held up along the east coast at places like Coffs, Port mac, Forster, Newcastle etc...I used to generally get eliminated around semi finals and never got into a final on the pro junior circuit but won a few of our local contests, and won trophies and prizes like boardies and wax and wetsuits etc. I think the longest waves I've surfed have been out off Forster bar 12-15 feet and rides go for about 3- 4 minutes on some waves...that break is way out past the breakwall and just went on and on and on...other wicked breaks are flagstaffs at Port Macquarie, North one mile at Forster and south Boomerang beach at pacific palms...the heaviest waves I've surfed are actually off Forster main beach Bennetts head, that place does actually ever break unless a cyclone or big low pressure system has whipped up super storm weather waves...to give you some idea it doesn't actually start to break off the reef until it's 15 feet...it's a suicde takeoff and hold on for your life takeoff and if you make it down the face you can be assured of a serious barrel it just rips open so wide a lot like shark island at Cronulla if you've ever seen that break...it's almost the same setup...suck lift and throw you out off the lip and if you don't make it down the takeoff you are seriously gunna get scrambled on the rocks and possibly break bones or worse...I can remember surfing south Boomers at pacific palms one day and my leg rope had snapped on the first wave and it was about 8-10 foot this day so I had to surf all day in heavy waves with no leggie...weird thing though it gave me this weird quiet confidence and I tore that place apart all day...a couple of mates who had to work that day on a building site had a birds eye view all of the waves and were pissed off they couldn't surf them and said they had never seen me so aggressive and animal...I'll never forget that day, 8 foot waves...super long rides and 4 guys out including me and we surfed it for like 4 hrs non stop...I surfed in the south of England down at Cornwall for some ok waves but it was usually dribble and the water is soooo fucking cold I only used to last 1 hour tops...never surfed Indo like a lot of others, just surfed all up the east coast of OZ for 15 years non stop as a young guy then fucked off to Europe. LOL...the only plants I had a relation with when surfing was weeeed... and way too much actually...if I din't smoke so much I might have been that touch better and make into the bigger events finals...too much peer pressure from my mates who were all shit hot surfers as well so it was kinda like a fuck it smoke some bush and go and just let it flow and relax. I have a million surf stories, sharks, wipeouts, injuries, girl surfers, body surfing 10 foot shore dumps and nearly snapping my neck...sooo many memories... The TV commercial I was in was for an ice cream shop in the 80's it was a local store and was on local TV for months...lol the other time was really random in Denmark, we were hanging out at this gardens place in town and this TV crew were filming a soap opera and asked us to be extra's and be next to the main 2 actors who were having a romantic talk or some bollocks..lasted about 5 mins the whole scene...no lines unfortunately ...only white ones when we returned to our hotel... ThunderIdeal Posted July 3, 2009 not overly caught up in external goals, but i'd like to find a comfortable home to relax and do my thing for a few more decades. i'd like that opportunity, among other reasons, so i can digest more knowledge, learn to be aware of my divinity and express it in each moment, live this illusion and know it for what it is and love it, keep breathing, moving, living, loving, embrace it all and let it go. to quote a song "to swing on the spiral of our divinity and still be a human." wow i didn't realise i was so ambitious. Go fishing with teo in the Northern Territory. 5.Catch at least 1 cod on a piece of cheese. 6. Get right into Hoyas and amass a collection. 7. You know I have some contacts in the porn industry, one of the biggest names in the business too - you could even say he is the hardest working men in showbiz. ;) Catch a cod on cheese. Hehe, December 2009, this year is your year my friend! I don't really have a list of things to achieve/do- wish I did though. Two off the top of my head are... *work in a meaningful job that puts positive stuff back into the world *work with an architect and design my own house and garden - with self sufficiency and survivalism in mind.
