blizznshot Posted January 12, 2008 Just want to send out a big "hello" to the Corroboree. I've lurked here from time to time, and set up an account, but this is my first time posting. I know/recognize many names here from my other home away from home, and hope to develop an out-of-control downward spiral of time consumption with this site as well. I'm always interested in learning more about our plant allies, and contributing whatever bits and pieces that I may know. Thanks for having me, and I'll see ya 'round the forum! The Dude Posted January 15, 2008 (edited) Welcome blizznshot and cycle Everyone else is spot on about the addiction potential of this forum, I think there should be a sign-up warning somewhere Torsten, I wasn't warned. I'm gonna sue you for negligence by providing an addictive time vacuum of a forum. Edited January 15, 2008 by El Duderino
Vertmorpheus Posted January 15, 2008 Ace you mustb e getting old, you left out one of the most dire side effects of abuse of SAB is the irritating trait of starting 1 out of every 3 sentences with "well I read on the net that...." or "actually that came up on SAB" I'm shocked there isn't a support group for this evil material yet... when will people ever learn? I have seen this particular side effect go on to affect spouses, children, workmates, even innocent old ladies quietly pruning things in their garden. Why, I've caught myself doing it to my own parents which surely is as low as it gets. The first victims in all this, of course, are the plants. Then your lungs haha. "Does anyone know you're going this way?" VM
blizznshot Posted January 18, 2008 Heh, thanks for the warm welcome. For those that frequent the more-american cousin of this board, you probably realize that I'm already feeding quite a big cyber-monkey. In terms of my job, I'm a biochemist. As for hobbies, I just love growing cacti! I pretty much take a simple approach, growing them in uncomplicated conditions and trying to listen to what they need. I find they do best when I avoid being fancy schmancy. I also enjoy drinking, smoking, and all types of ill shit. Seriously though, thanks for having me...
