While I am open to the possibility that the life expectancy of a porn star is substantially shorter than the average life expectancy for the wider population, I feel that this result is false. the deaths of 129 porn stars over a period of roughly 20 years were analyzed...When the death ages of these porn stars were averaged it was discovered that the average life expectancy of a porn star is only 37.43 years I don't feel that that is statistically valid. The earliest death in that list is 1990. Although there are people in that list born circa 1940, the majority were born after 1970. This makes sense if you consider that the porn industry as we know it began in the late 1970s. So they are using the deaths of porn stars to calculate life expectancy. I have not gone through the whole list, but if the average age of those performers today (had they not died young) is about 45-50, then by normal life expectancy, we would not expect them to have died yet. This means that there are probably many out there who have made it to fifty, and may live for another 40 or fifty years, who are not being counted in the 'study' because they have not died. If there's a flaw in my argument I am happy to reconsider. EDIT: I googled "porn life expectancy" and found that page. I gathered it was the one you were talking about because the figure arrived at is identical. The 'researcher' arrived at this conclusion from the 'study': The Bible tells us that in one day God struck 23,000 fornicators dead and He is doing the same thing to immoral people today. Becoming involved with pornography (either through acting or just viewing it) will bring God’s judgment upon you. Learn from the mistake of these men and women and do not allow their fate to become yours.
