  1. yeah it was a very lucid dream; at the time I thought it was real, hence my response to being offered such a monstrous dose... i recall reading somewhere recently that dreams where very important to australian aboriginal shamanism. perhaps they learnt to control endogenous dmt release through dreams...

    anyone go to bed straight

maybe your body is becoming dependent on intoxication for deep sleep or something. i usually have great sleeps when going to bed straight, but also have great sleeps when high so its a bit arbitrary IMO.

    Help moderating my pot intake

for sure man. stops the temptation to spin with tobacco, which reduces the cone cravings. also your house will no longer stink of smoke, and you get about 3x the usage out of each lot of herb. you can do the first vape at 184, then 195, 205, 215, 225 degrees and keep getting vapour, but each run is obviously more smokey than the last. also you can save the vaped herb and use it to bake cookies. even herb that has been blasted at 230 degrees a few times over still has higher molecular weight cannabinoids that make a heavy body stone when eaten. 6 foot bags!?!? haha awesome stuff. yeah volcano is the way to go. cheap ones break, don't maintain temperature very well and some even release plastic tasting fumes.... the Iolite is about 200 AUD and is portable and gets one well wrecked.

    Help moderating my pot intake

I'm on my first sensi break in a year, and have been using for 5 years or so. have been vaping on average about 1/2 gram every day over that time, and at times eating brownies once a day. very infrequently use tobacco and alcohol. all I can say is.... its been no big deal at all for me. I have had the most incredible vivid dreams, feel full of energy and it has taken just two days to get back to a healthy sleeping pattern. do people that have trouble kicking the habit drink and use tobacco when they smoke up? but I guess it could also be that some people really do get physically addicted to THC and have a tough time getting off it... but it just doesn't seem to be the case for people that only eat or vape it in moderation. smoking is stone age tek... vaping is taking off over the world (eg holland, uk, canada, usa... read the grow report forum), and I hardly ever meet an aussie that even knows what it is. who here uses one? it changes what seems like a dirty habit with smoke and smelly bongs into a clean, beautiful experience. i use the green for creativity, spiritual insight, potentiating trips, pain relieving and for its anxiolytic effects when stressed. admittedly when used heavily (a 1.5 grams or more a day maybe?) it does produce lethargy and psychological disturbances. the key is to listen to your body and stop when it says stop...
  5. hi guys, am going overseas and would like to take some of my herbal and dietary supplements with me. do you think I would encounter difficulties at customs in singapore with Thompson's Kava and Dr Vera's 5-HTP tablets? the bottles are already open now, maybe I should have left them sealed. I don't have prescriptions for them, would this be required in the event of a customs search? thanks in advance, k

    Plant to help with anxiety?

i've found cutting out caffeine, nicotine and other stimulants to be a good way to reduce anxiety. damiana is a good replacement. valerian is helpful to induce sleep, just don't take too much as it can be quite unpleasant at larger doses, plus it tastes a bit funky. maybe a teaspoon is enough. its not a plant but i've found GABBA supplements to work wonders for reducing anxiety. just sitting down for 15minutes and deep breathing is good too.

    Help moderating my pot intake

healthy living helps... eat, sleep and exercise well... exercise is especially good for keeping your tolerance down. change up how u take it, eating it is good as it lasts for ages and tends to be more euphoric.

War on drugs? Now that's reefer madness

good to see some pro-legalisation commentary in the australian media. we really are lagging behind the rest of the developed world in this debate.

    Enjoying Cebil

SWIM reported heavy nausea, dizziness, elevated heart rate and threshold effects when cebil was snorted or applied sublingually. snorting was reported to be intensely painful. the same powder at the same dose (about two seeds worth) vaporized was reported to produce mild nausea and minimal elevated heart rate, followed by overt CEV's of shimmering colours and shapes. admittedly SWIM hasn't had much experience with this material, and perhaps the powder was not prepared as well as yours. but it would seem vaporizing reduced the unwanted side effects somewhat.

    Enjoying Cebil

yeah snorting is archaic, put the freebased powder in a vaporizer at a high temp (>200 degrees C) instead. is more efficient and tolerable.

    Need some help with rooting

hey heffa, it just so happens i'm trying to propagate a pachanoi mid section cut in the SE QLD area too. and in the last few days the top exposed surface has developed mould as well. i didn't dry the cutting out for more than 2 days, so maybe thats a problem. i have my cutting in 75% shade in a quite dry sandy soil. its only been in the soil for two weeks though. would be interested to hear how yours turns out, given the similar climate. do your cacti go dormant over the winter here?

    Ipomoea Id.

hey mate, pretty sure i've seen this vine all over brisbane and the GC... they are out of control. takes over cleared bushland in a flash. they pricked my interest at first too but then the leaf seems to start heart shaped then morph into something else, as you pointed out, so I didn't think it was an interesting morning glory. PS good to your teaching the little guy all bout the plants

    Terence McKenna

terence mckenna was a poet. words were his instrument and with them he deftly painted a picture of the psychedelic experience. for me, his words seem to ooze the violet essence of the tryptamine dimension itself.
  22. check out these amazing NZ psychoactive fungi...Weraroa novae-zelandiae. apparently they are related to subs.
  23. once in a country where amanita is legal I found some and hung them in the back of a cupboard and forgot about them. bad move, they turned green and rotted after a month or two. you need to pass moving air over them. i believe the traditional preparation is to dry them over a fire (a la santa stockings), but a dehydrator or fan forced oven with the temp very low and door open would work just as well. perhaps someone more knowledgeable can comment on various drying strategies for converting muscarine into psychoactive ibotenic acid and muscimol... perhaps some heat is required.
  24. mmm that last one looks pretty tasty nice a. muscaria specimens otherwise!
  25. if waking consciousness is largely a manifestation of the physical self and ego, and the psychedelic or shamanic consciousness is a reconnection into the collectivity of all consciousness/subconscious, then dreams seem to fall somewhere in between. but these three states are probably not mutually exclusive. in my experience, although dreams can be incredibly intricate and amazing experiences, they are quite unpsychedelic. for example i have dreamt of being attacked by a preying mantis, being confronted with my infant self, being in a building as it tumbles to the ground and exploring an dutch port town complete with some sort of serpent in the canals... all very incredible... but i am yet to dream of the alien-yet-familiar entities and transforming geometric-audial-tactile objects encountered in the tryptamine dimensions. dreams seem to always have a plot, a storyline to them, with characters and events that are commonly encountered in everyday reality. psychedelic experiences, on the other hand, seem to be filled to the brim with the external other - when encountering the fractal spiral of all time and space in my living room glowing and rotating, i certainly do not believe this is a manifestation of me - unless each one of us is everything that ever was and will be. but perhaps we can only recall the trivial aspects of our dreams, and that during deep REM sleep we break right through to the entity filled dimensions... perhaps its too much for our brains to ever remember. the relationship between dream, conscious and shamanic states is fascinating and bizarre - perhaps there are multiple planes to our being (with the 'higher' planes being shared by multiple people, the lower planes belonging solely to the individual) and these states operate on different planes that intersect each other.
